I bought some though out of curiosity. Went to the shop today and there was on offer Skinny Water, description on bottle 'unique formula containing l-carmitine and chromium to reduce suga cravings and improve the body's ability to burn fat' I got as on offer and it was hot and I was thirsty but can a drink really do this? Would you buy it? Have you tried it? Did it work?

They have so many things for sale where weight lost is concern to the point I would not buy any of the things that I see. If I didn't know for sure that it would work. I know that you didn't buy a bottle of it? NOw if there was nothing else around that fine, but if you had other choices you should have gotten something else. I know that I have not hear of that before here in the US. I will look out for it to see if it's on the market here or not. Have a good one.

Well, someone found another way to rip us off. Frankly, I wouldn't drink anything that had anything extra added to it. Water itself is filling enough and with no calories, there's no reason to have to purchase something that comes out of your tap at home.

HI Ellie...well I don't think I've heard of this skinny water..lol. Where can you get it, just any store? I wonder what kind of ingredients and vitamins it has in it, because there are some things I can't have. I wonder if its anything like the Kellog's protein water, its supposed to keep you from feeling hungry when you drink it. I haven't tried it either, I was going to but its kinda expensive.

Hi Walijo, I got these bottles from Tesco but I am sure it is available in other stores as it isn't their brand. I bought it as it worked out cheaper than the drink I was going to buy plus it was buy one get one free. The ingredients in it have a link within discussion two and their properties and benfits if you would like to take a look and there is also a hint of pomegranate other than this just water. It did keep me awake though after having drunk the second bottle when I got home from work. I am usually a good sleeper and this was the only thing that was different and guess what I didn't wake up SKINNY LOL. Ellie :D

Hi there is a link in response two detailing the benfits of the ingredients in it but I drank two bottles yesterday and woke up today still NOT SKINNY LOL but like you say you never know. I just bought out of curiosity but it tasted okay. I was awake last night though which is unusal for me so I don't know if there is something that gives you extra energy within it. Ellie :D

LOL I have never heard of it before Ellie and I guess that a lot of products come out with spectacular claims. I thought that water reduced all food cravings as it made you feel full but perhaps this stuff really works - in which case I would probably worry about what those ingredients were doing to my body! What a worry wart I am ! lol xxx

Hi Mummymo, I am of the same opinion as you and drink water before eating as I find I tend to eat less that way. I tried it as it was on offer at Tesco buy one get one free and cheaper than the drink I was gonna buy (plus curiosty got the better of me) but I did find that it kept me awake all night which I could have done without for some reason but I got up as expected in the morning to being NOT SKINNY LOL. Well, ellie333, I've not heard of Skinny Water. But, it sounds like something I would like. Why? I'd like to be skinny and I love water!
Anyway, I can't imagine a drink can make us skinny. I probably wouldn't buy it because I have a feeling it has that over the counter stuff that speeds you up, which makes the inside of my head feel like it's got a coil of wire in it getting tighter and tighter! But that's just me.
No, I haven't tried it. I'm gonna look for it and see what the ingredients are. Let's have a toast...to Skinny Water!
Take Care.

I-carmitine and chromium are 2 ingredients I've never heard of. I will have to check them out. How did the Skinny Water taste? Was it gross? Or it just tasted like regular water?
Do not worry about not waking up skinny, ellie333. Just remember what Christina Aguilera sings ("You are beautiful in every single way...").

Oh what a lovely thing to say but I have always believed that a persons beauty lies within anyway. My daughter says it tastes like stale water but I found it was ok to drink but not like water it had a taste of pomgranate in it. I found I couldn't get to sleep at all last night though and was up and out by six this morning but feel really tired now so I don't know whether that was an energy bit kicking in or not. Strange as I usually really sleep well but drank the secon bottle before going to bed. Ellie :D

Hi PearlGrace, I listed the extra ingredients and there is a link on response to as to what they do and it sounds very interesting. It is supposed to work immediately but after the two bottles as they were buy one get one free I have woken up this morning NOT SKINNY . I must admit though when I get home from work at night I usually munch whilst at the computer, that is my wind down before going to bed but last night I didn't even though I had goodies if I wanted to. Heres to skinny water! Ellie :D

I think that it's hogwash Ellie. There's no way you need to lose weight anyway. I suppose the important thing is did it make yo feel that you were helping you body burn fat (what fat?) and did it suppress your sugar cravings? Did it quench your thirst too? If you look here: http://blogs.chron.com/sciguy/archives/2007/06/the_skinny_wate.html You can read what this guy thinks of Skinny Water's claims and their scientific basis. Would you buy it again?

Hi P1kef1sh, I bought it on my way to work yesterday as I needed to take a drink and it was buy one get one free and cheaper than my usual water and out of curiosity as I couldn't believe what it was called. I did did it and it quenched my thirst, I didn't feel hungry when I got home like I usually do but it was hot yesterday so tend to drink more and not eat and when I woke up this morning, guess what? I'm NOT SKINNY! I am very happy with myself and my weight anyway but some will be taken in. Thanks for the link says it all really eh, there is another link in Goodies response and it does give positive feedback for the ingredients but I will stick to my usual diet and buy if on offer but it won't be on my weekly shopping list, no worries there. Ellie :D

I've seen this a few times but never thought to buy it. I just don't think water will help me lose weight. I've tried the l-carmitine pill before and it didn't work so if it were in a drink then it wouldn't work as well. Let me know if this works for you though! Maybe drinking huge amounts regularly will be more effective?! But I think diet and exercise are still the only way to lose weight for real.

Hi Mimico, you are absolutely correct here, less calories = less weight and regular exercise helps tone and firm. I am not actively trying to lose weight but just had to buy to see what it was all about and it was on offer cheaper than my usual drink. If you have already tried l-carmintine tablet and they didn't work I don't see how this will myself either. Ellie :D

Hi It is called Bio Synenergy Skinny water and there is a link in response two as to what the ingredients do. I bought it out of curiosity and it was on offer. I bought from Tesco store but I am sure others do it. It was £1 ($2 for two bottles). It did quench my thirst and I didn't feel hungry and also when I get home from work which is late at night I often munch on goodies which I didn't last night even though I had in cupboard at home. It may have been that it was warm though and I just didn't feel hungry. I haven't woken up Skinny though . If you give it a try and it works let me know please as I think a lot of these things are fads. Drinking just water will improve your skin. Ellie :D

Well, it says that the stuff in it reduces your sugar cravings (I'm guessing that is what is supposed to make you skinny, eating less sugar), so I suppose if you just ate less sugar and drank regular tap water, you should get exactly the same results and save youreself some money, too.

Ah skinny water. I want the opposite, I want sweet water and I get this by buying mango puree which is way sweeter than sugar. It gives me a big boost of energy but I have run out of it, the dang bottle must have a leak. I just bought a half gallon and it's all gone now. Maybe I will get the whole gallon thing and be energized out of my socks.

Ha ha ha
well as long as its cheaper and satisfy ur quench for thirst its OK. i am sure it does not have any other disadvantage or side effects as normally drinks like that put stress on ur kidneys due to mineral/chemicals they have
Wish u all the Best
And wish u Skinn tooo

Hi Cupid, I bought as it was on offer cheaper than the drink I would have bought to take to work with me. It quenched my thirst, I didn't feel hungry but it was very warm yesterday so tend to drink more than eat then anyway and have woken up this morning NOT SKINNY LOL. Ellie :D

Hi Gemini I think drinking normal water would be just as good but I have heard it is good for people that suffer from diabetes re the sugar cravings so maybe it does work. I had two bottles and didn't wake up SKINNY LOL. There is a link on response two which you may find interesting though re the ingredients. Ellie :D
