How many movies do you see in a year

Do you watch movies only on television or do you like to go to theatres to see the moveis. My husband and I would go for a move every fortnight to a theatre. After he expired I did not step into a theatre for over 8 years. A couple of months back my kids took me to a theatre for a movie TAARE ZAMEEN PAR. It was a hindi movie about a dsylexic child. Enjoyed watching this movie and now my daughter is planning another movie this month. In eight years all the theatres have turned into multiplexes and will be going to a multiplex this month. Where do you watch your movies? What kind of movies do you like watching?

I can never watch a full movie at home. Get too distracted. In fact all these years inspite of having a VCR I have not seen a single movie at a stretch. Thanks for your reply and take care.

I usually watch movies in the cinemas. My last movie in the theater was yesterday evening. It's a Japanese movie called '10 Promises to my Dog'. It's a nice but sad movie. Anyway, on the average I watch around 2 movies per month. That works out to be 24 movies per year in the theater. I'll sometimes watch movies online. I prefer watching animes online.

I think its more fun watching movies in a theatre than at home. Have never been able to watch a full movie at home. Will sit for some time in front of the television and then get bored and get up and do the housework.

Hi dear Movies have become a part and parcel of our lives. I watch one at least every weekend. A good movie is kind of charger that charges me for the next week. Having said this, I love funny, comedy films that make me laugh. However, films like Taare Zameen Par is a bliss and I would like to watch more of such kind. Smiles...

Taare Zameen Par - A shot from the film
There was a time when movies were a part and parcel of my life. I think I would see a movie everyweek. And now it was one movie after 8 years. Have started watching movies on television these last couple of months. Before I would not even watch on television. I wish we had more movies like TZP.

Me and my husband hardly ever get to go out to a theater to see a movie.Due to having to find a babysitter for our to young kids(4years old and 3 years old).We do most of the time find someone to watch them but i would rather watch movies at home.As I can watch the movies in my pajamas if I want to and be comfortablenot ot mention the popcorn, snacks and pop is cheaper when you watch a movie at home.Although I love the movie popcorn.

When my kids were 3 and 4 years old they would enjoy themselves in the theatre with their popcorn and icecreams and chocolates. So we never had a problem taking them along. And yes the movie popcorn is real tasty.

I guess I am an oddball...I don't really like to go to movie theatres. The last time I went was probably four years ago. I prefer to just get a pay per view on the television and watch it in the comfort of my home. My favorite movies are romantic comedies.

I mostly watch movies at home. At the theaters it happens a lot that people are kicking the back of my chair and they won't stop doing it even when I ask them kindly or get angry (when you are watching a long movie like harry potter you get really annoyed!). This is the main reason why I don't like to go to the theaters any more. I will only go to the theaters for movies I really, really would love to see like the new harry potters movies and certain disney movies :)

Well, I think I'm not a huge fan but these movies are overwhelming in the theaters and it's nice because me and my three neices go see them so it's kind of a returning family anual thing . I have the same thing with pirates of carribean which is great to see in the theaters too. I can recommend both but you have to like the genre .

You seem to be a harry potter fan. I have not seen any of the harry potter movies. But I think these kind of movies are best enjoyed in theatres because of the sound effects that you get there.

I watch very few movies a year and most of them are on television. I only go to the movies when the film I want to see is in English or Spanish and then I really enjoy my outing, as it is not fun to see a film and only understand a percentage of it. The percentage is sort of high by now, as I have been living here for almost 15 years , but I still miss bits and pieces and that kind of annoys me.

As we do not go that often, we usually prefer to go to movies that have received reviews of either 4 or 5 stars. Regardless of the stars, we also enjoy watching Mr Bean and Michael Palin movies, but in original language.

I am not a great movie buff. I rarely see movies in cinema halls. Once in a six months, I go for movies, else I see movies on my computer. Till a movie is an outstanding one, I do not feel like visiting a theatare. I would like to spend time elsewhere, instead of sitting for a movie continously for three hours. I have seen TZP and have replied to your other discussion regarding this movie. I love to watch comedies and hilarious movies only.

I agree, the enviornment one gets at cinema hall is not comparable with home enviornment. But we make do with computers, when we do not have any choice or say time to go to cinema halls. (kyaan karey majboori may iassa karna padta hai.......LOL!)

hi dear i watch atleast two movies a week if anything good and worthwhile latest that i saw was Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic Saif is hoooottt and Rani is so very cute and The Incredible hulk..i liked both ..i wish in Indian animation we could do as well as the english animation..we have a long way to go as far as animation movies are concerned..we go to multiplexes only bcoz my son does not sit in one place so there is enough space for him and it is less crowded..

yeah it's in the same theatre with different showing time. well usually I would buy the ticket first, and look at the time, the first movie and the second must be separated abt 2 hours. So I can have time to go eat something or just go shopping, so I don't sit there 5 hours to continuosly watching movie (my butt can't take it lol)

On my day off i used to watch new movies all day long..But that was before i joined MyLot. After i joined MyLot last night and today is my day off i spend all my time here..

I used to go to the movies at least twice a month. However since I've gotten married and had kids movies have become a luxery. Now however I have found a great website that I can watch all the movies I want for free right on my pc. I also just bought a new tv so I plan to hook up my pc so I can see them on my new tv.

I'm having two young children, elder boy is 7 years old and the younger one is about one year old only. I saw my last movie in any theater for about one and a half year ago and I've not gone to theaters since then because of having an infant. However, I love to watch movies on television also but I don't get much time to do that. Still I've managed to watch few movies on television in recent past.

Me and my fiance will not go to theaters to see a movie often, because it is becoming too expensive, and we would rather stay at home and either catch movies on television,or watch movies that we have,or occasionally rent a movie from the video store.

Yeah the remote is really handy, and it is easier to watch a movie because if you are watching a DVD or if you have satellite and have DVR then you can record movies or rewind them whenever you want while watching live, have a great day, good luck in your life, and Happy Posting.
