Should POT be legal?

If you're a pot smoker you know how fun it can be. The penalties for getting busted for personal use pot are way too strict. Can't they spend their resources (time, manpower, money, court time, etc...) on much more important crimes?

I haven't got a problem with it. It's less damaging to the body then alchole and cigerettes. I don't like it myself but hey you are right. There are better things to be spending our resources on and more extreme crimes to take care of.

It's less damaging to the body? Actually, no. If you smoke pot every day for a year, then you will begin to lose motivation to do stuff and your brain will slowly detoriate (sp). Sure if you smoke pot a few times or maybe once a month, it may not have immediate effects, but after an extended period of time, you will start to see side effects.
