My daughter now has red hair. Her hair was dyed today. It does look nice. I recently had my hair cut really short. Have you made any changes in your appearance this year? We have lost weight. She wanted to look good in her bathing suit. I just wanted to drop a size. I'll admit still need to lose 10 pounds; however, glad to lose any pounds. Tell us about your changes this year or any future changes your planning.

I have a big change planned for myself this year, I am going to have my hair cut a lot shorter than it is. It is long, way past my shoulders but it has no style to it, I want a style that I can do something with and so I am going to have about 3 inches off of the length. I am also currently changing the colour of it, it is currently blonde but I am slowly going darker and I am thinking of maybe having a drastic change to the colour eventually. Just need to think of a colour scheme for it that I will like!

Wow, that sounds major taking 3 inches off. I did that many years ago, as somebody charged me the senor discount and I was only 35. My husband thought it was funny, but they didn't charge him the senior rate. He is a lot older than me. I do think changes help us have a whole new you feeling. It did me, as it made me look younger. Good luck and hope your able to find the color your seeking now. Thanks for the reply.

I would love to dye my hair red. I have always loved red hair, but I am such a fair complexion that I don't think it would look right. I remember a couple of years ago, that I couldn't stand my hair one day and I went and had it all cut off. My hairdresser wasn't working that day, boy was she shocked when I came in to see her. It took almost three years for it to grow out.

My daughter is very fair, as she is Iris, Italian and English. I have several friends that are as fair as me with red hair. The red needs to be just right. Thanks for the reply and good luck if you dye your hair.

6 pack abs is an interesting goal. I had them in my younger years. Thanks for the reply.

The changes I'm planning are to lose about 30 pounds, to eat healthier, to not eat so much ice cream, to drink more water, to cut out as much junk food as possible, and to go for walks more often. Now, whether I follow through on those is a whole 'nother ball game.

They are all great things to do now. I need to drink more water, as some days I get busy and end up not drinking very much liquid. Thanks for the reply.

I had my hair very, very short and when it began to grow out I just let it. I don't know whether I'll cut it again or not, the silver seems to show better when it's longer. My mom and I also just joined a fitness center that caters to seniors although there are a few young folks there, too. This was our first day and it will be a big change for both of us, we'll start feeling really good soon! She needs help with balance and strength while I just need to lose some ugly fat.

Good luck with the weight loss. I'm considering joining a gym. Its harder to lose weight now that I'm closing in on 50. I don't feel the age and realize its a number, but am having trouble removing 10 pounds. Thanks for the reply.

No plans to change my appearance a all. My sister has changd her hair a couple of times, and so did my mother when she was younger, but I never have, and I never will. I like myself the way I am. I don't wear makeup or have anything pierced.

I didn't make any changes in my 20's. My friends around me where coloring their hair and wore a lot of makeup. I don't wear makeup most of the time, as like to be natural when possible. No piercings for me to much pain. Now that I'm almost 50 I like very short hair. Its easy to take care of it and no hair will end up in my ponds. Hair is bad for pond filters. Thanks for the reply.
