Well Buddy i am not a credit card user but i am not sure how it will help people but i can only tell you based on the thing that my father told me Credit Cards is useful when: 1.It is used safely without any outsider using it 2.If the payment balances are paid off regularly without any delay. 3.In case of any emergency they are always at your foot step. credit cards are Harmful when: 1.Any outsider gets to know your password. 2.Payments are not paid regularly as the interests are very high. 3.Hidden Charges are very very bad things, which may exist. Happy Mylotting.

I used to be a credit card user when Daddy was the one financing. However, ever since I started making my own money, I have not used a credit card. I once had the nasty experience of having a lawyer come after me because I did not pay credit card bills and the debt reached a level where I could not pay if off. I think that taught me a painful lesson about credit cards. The banks will gladly let you have them and use them but the day it looks like you can't use them, then they will come upon you like a tonne of bricks. Credit cards can be useful. I mean, people do fall into situations where they don't have enough cash to make a necessary purchase. A credit card would come in useful in such situations. I've been in situations where I've only had pennies in the bank and felt that having a credit card would have been useful. However, based on my student experience with credit cards, I always feel that being broke ie without cash is better than having a credit card to lead you into temptation of spending more than you can handle. Credit card interest rates are notoriously high throughout the world. Although people with credit cards tell me that they can achieve great savings by shopping where there are credit card promotions. From what experiences I've had, shop keepers are more likely to give you better prices if you give them the cash. I guess it all depends on individual discipline. If you are the type of person who can use the credit card solely to emergencies or for genuine necessities, you can do allot with them. However, credit card issuers tend to brainwash you into buying lots of consumer goods you don't need and most of us are actually quite useless when resisting such messages. As a result, there are quite a few people out there who are simply unable to get out of a debt cycle.

I have 3 that I have for an emergency. I also use them every once in a while just to help improve my credit. I dont think they are necessary, but there are times that they can help you out if they are used properly.
