Has the four Letter Word Lost its Obscenity? / myLot

I see these words awash every where and I have been wondering whether the meaning of the word F..k has changed. In the western words like Sh.t etc dont seem to evoke the kind of meaning that brings shame and bad taste? Wht has really happened-is the foru letter word still as obscene as my teachers used to say?

I think its become just another word due to frequent usage. Children are growing up hearing it and repeating it without any idea that it might not be appropriate.
