Wizzywig responded to a discussion called Do You Grow Any Fruit? in fruit.

I grow raspberries, blackcurrants and a few strawberries. Yesterday I picked 2 overflowing carrier bagfuls of cooking apples from my small tree.

Yes, about 50%, yes, no, yes, why not,yes However, I wouldn't dye it black, brown, or blonde. My theory is,- if you're going to dye it, why go for a 'natural' colour??

Wizzywig responded to a discussion called Clothes in clothes.

I have to wear a uniform for work so, when I was fitted for mine, I went for the next size up to make sure I wasn't restricted as its quite a physical job. I would go for comfort over style or fashion everytime

Wizzywig responded to a discussion called Do you already buy gift items for Christmas? in enjoy life.
I buy things as and when I see/can afford them throughout the year. I dont plan what I'm going to buy in advance. I have several wrapped already so I will have forgotten what they are by the time the recipient opens them... surprise for me as well as for them[em]happy[/em]

Wizzywig responded to a discussion called If you could go on vacation to anywhere in the world where would you go and why?.

I'd go on one of those Lapland trips with the dog-sledding; snowbikes etc and hopefully see the Northern Lights... its on my Bucket List!

Yeah, I'd favour purple too... then they'd match most of my clothes. people ask me if I colour my hair to match my uniform - I tell them I took the job so I could have a uniform to match my hair!

Yes, I had my polite hat on when I wrote about toilet tissue... that particular hat is in excellent condition being rarely worn[em]lol[/em] I sent "Make your own snow" to them...Just add water, pop in the freezer and grate when frozen (a small empty sealable plastic bag) Oh, if only my life were really interesting... I just fill it with silliness and bizarre trains of thought in an attempt ...

Oh, I'm not saying I wouldn't be prepared to pay $10 depending on being able to put myself in the right hands[em]lol[/em].....

Wizzywig commented in a discussion called Are you scared of swine flu! in people.
I felt the same about it as you. I had the regular flu jab as I have a susceptibility to bronchitis and was advised to have the Swine flu one for that reason and the fact that I'm a frontline healthcare worker. So, I had it done just before I started my shift today (approx 12 hours ago). Several of my colleagues have had theirs over the last couple of weeks & most have said that their arm ached...

Well, it seemed like a good idea at the time.....

As I was putting the colour on my hair today some of it trickled down to my eyebrow and I thought, "Coloured eyebrows would be fun....."(The stuff I use has no nasty chemicals) I thought I'd just...

Surely this can't be a coincidence??

Aren't toothbrushes useful!!

I've been meaning to do it for the last 4 days. It wasn't actually blocked but the water was draining away very slowly so...I put on my plumbers hat, sucked air through my teeth and set to unscrewing...

Which shoes for driving?

I always wear trainers for driving and carry another pair of shoes in the car if i'm working or going somewhere that trainers aren't suitable. Can you drive in any shoes (or no shoes)?
