My Dreams Changed

I have dreamed to be filthy rich, to be famous, to have a multi-national company and to be able to become one of the richest people of the world. Now, I dream of something simpler. I no longer want to be filthy rich. I want to live a simple yet convenient life. I no longer want to be famous. Now, I just want to be an ordinary person yet recognized of his works and achievements. I no longer want to have a multi-national company. I though that would be a tiring life. I just want to have a simple business that can aid my living. And most of all, I don't want to be labeled as the richest man alive but be considered as a man for others. I want a simple life. I want a life that serves God. And I want to live a happy life. Simpler dreams are easy to achieve and still make you even happier.

I want to say... keep on your heart desires. I know you're on your way of building a bridge to make others closer to God. God Bless to you & More Power!

I used to feel the same way but now simplicity more appealing than anything else on life. Simple living, rich values - that's what I prioritise in life these days. Having said this, I want money for money gives us a power - the power to give it away. HAPPY LIVING.

Hi There, I agree with a lot of what you say. It is not about possessions, it is about what you do with the time which is given to you. We will all go sometime, and when we do we will be remembered for what we did, not what we have. I think the most admirable person is somebody who tries to spend their life making the lives of others better. Whether you have money or not. cheers,

A life that serves God? My understanding od religion is that if you believe in God, you will submit to his dreams and plans for you life. So by saying that your dream has changed and now you want something else contradicts this because it is selfish and self reliant. All you can say is: "To do what God wnats me to do and be who God wants me to be." This means that if God wants you to be rich and famous, then you will be, and if God wants you to be a servant of others, then you will be, with all the possibilities in between. If you don't like the idea of submission to God's will and you have your own plan for your life, then perhaps God has no parrt in your life and you shouldn't say in your post that you "want a life that serves God". Perhaps God has changed you dreams because he wants you to be servant of others and help others and this is in accordance with his ultimate plan. If the reality of you not being rich and perhaps suffering finacially and physically is fine with you, then go for it. I also think that the only life worth living is a serving life, all else comes to nothing. I don't believe in God.
