I live in a house. I've lived in several apartments, but that was a long time ago, and I don't think I could put up with neighbors all around me these days. But, when I was younger, and especially when my kids were young, it was nice living in an apartment complex with a lot of people and activities going on.

I live in an apartment - a very tiny (though I prefer to call it cute) one. I just moved into it a few days ago. If I had my way, I'd live in a house, because houses usually have a yard/garden which I love, and you enjoy more privacy. But I'm just renting and houses are generally a lot more expensive. I've lived in both apartment and house.

Right now I am living in a trailer. I have lived in apartments and houses though. I feel that the house is better of the choices. apartments you really don't get alot of privacy because in some you can hear what is going on on all sides of you and above and hear some things from below. And that means they can hear you also.

My family lives in a house. I never live in an apartment. Yet, It's not very common to live in an apartment in my country, especially in my hometown. It's quite expensive for most people in my country to live in an apartment. However, in big cities, many young executives start to live in an apartment.

I live in my grandparents' house. Its kinda old and ghastly but I prefer it than to live in an apartment. Living in a house makes you homey and comfortable. You also have privacy where you can do anything you want without thinking what your neighbors will think of you. Usually, an apartment has a tight neighborhood where you don't have much privacy since the houses are very close, sometimes just adjacent, to one another.

Hi arddi, I live in our own house with vegetation around. I only stay in an apartment when visiting my son who works in another state about 100 km away from my place once in a while. I feel rather bored to stay in an apartment where there is no courtyard for me to move around and to do my gardening as well. I like to plant some leafy vegetables and some fruit tree for our own consumption. We could drive our vehicles right into our porch and don’t have to take the trouble of taking lift or climbing the staircase anyway.

house is better. in apartments i had: drunks that howled all night and fell down the stairs people kicking the bass on their stereos at 3 am,resounding through the walls jerks that hasseled you when you walked out of the apartment glass raining down from the 2nd floor from evicted tenants breaking in to get their stuff there's no comparison.

well i've only lived in apartments in my entire life. i've live in six different apartments though. houses are way too expensive for me to even think about living in one. even the apartments are built by the government. it might sound like sour grapes but i prefer to live in apartments. i think a house is good if you've got a really big family. if not, the echo of an empty house is quite scary. there's also the uninvited 'guests' that freaks me out. snakes in the toilet bowl or centipedes in my bathroom is enough to scare me. ;p

Hi my friend, I have lived in both an apartment and in a house. I live in a house now. I like the house so much better because you can do what you want with the house and not have to ask the landlord if you can do it. Also, most apartments in our area have restrictions on dogs and animals. They will sometimes allow one small dog but that is all. That would be a problem since I own 5 dogs. Here at the house they have a big fenced in back yard to go out to and at the apartment I had one dog and I had to take her out on a leash all the time. This is much better. :D Have a great day! Char :-)

We as a family live in a seperate house. I think each has its own advantages. Living in a seperate house gives us freedom and gives us space too. But when you live in an apartment you can have a great social life. You will never feel alone and you can learn a lot from your neighbours if they are good people. I would have prefered apartment life because i have a two year old who doesnt get to interact with other children . As we live in a seperate house there are no kids with whom he could play with. What is your opinion on this?

I am now living in a double storey house; I have lived in an apartment before. It was on the 3rd level (2nd floor) of a low-rise apartment building. I would enjoy more ,living in an apartment. You have all your rooms on one level, and the entrances are secured. Moreover there's the 24hour security service, so it's safe. And cleaning an apartment is so much less work.

I currently live in an apartment. When I lived with my parents I lived in a house with them. I prefer a house because I wouldn't have neighbors above me or so close beside me. I can constantly hear people walking above me, even when I know they aren't deliberately being loud. It's just the way apartments are built.

I have lived in both. When I was younger I was in an apartment but there was lots of noise, if someone upstairs had an arguement you could hear it and there's never not much of a yard for the children to play in. One day I went out to get in the jeep we had a 47 Willys jeep and I was going to take my daughter to school and I got in the jeep to find that someone stole the steering wheel right out of it. Not long after that I found a house to rent and I have never gone back to apartment living and I don't miss it a bit. Take care.

I live in my grandparents house together with my family..i haven't tried living in an apartment but what i know is it is still much better living in your own house than renting and thinking of an added payment for you to bear monthly..it is much better and much secure living in the security of your own home..you can do whatever you want without thinking how the owner will react if you decide to change something or add something in your apartment.

I now live in a house, but have lived in both. A house is better, because you can do what you want, without a nosy landlord checking up on you. And there is no one living upbove or below you, making a lot of noise. If you have a mortage, at least, the payments will stop one day,and you own the house. Paying rent never ends, and it only makes the landlord rich. It's like throwing money away for nothing. But, most of my life, an apartment was my only way to have a place to live, as with many people. Houses are very expensive to keep up. If something breaks, you can't call someone to fix it, it's now my responsibility and expense. But, it is a worthwhile investment.
