Olympic oaths---Is necessary to hold Olympic games?

"IN the name of all competitors i promise that we shal take part in these Olympic Games, respecting and abiding by the rules which govern them, committing ourselves to a sport without doping and without drugs, in the true spirit of sportmanship, for the glory of sport and the honor of our teams" THAT's an olympic oath, i found it when hang around on the internet, and re-type it in mylot for nothing. Olympics is approaching, around 30 days to go, but someone won't participate it, like the French president, i wanna know what do you think of Olympics?
