Have you ever planted anything from seed?

mexican sunflower - Mexican sunflower with yellow center and red-orange petals. Grown right from the seed!

I have. I've tried planting tomatoes, peppers, lettuce, basil, marigold, and mexican sunflower to name a few. Give planting from seed a try. It's fun and gratifying!

Last spring I had my kindergarteners plant bean seeds. Our windows were up above their heads, because our room was in the lowest level of the school. Every day I'd have to take every bean plant down from the window so that they could admire them. They were so excited about them!

Children do love to observe how much a plant has grown. It still amazes me once a seed has sprouted!
