I'm halfway to 500! I can't wait for "PASTE". How about everyone else?

At 500 posts we get the ability to use "cut & paste" applications and I can't wait. I like to write notes on my Wordpad and Notepad apps and it would be great to transfer that to here without re-typing. It kinda sucks that I can only post while typing live. My brain doesn't always work the way I want, and it is really bad when I get kicked out by my computer after several minutes of typing!

Oh definitely, I can't wait till I can paste! For the same reason, that I will be able to think of stuff to write and type it up in an outside application. Another thing is, I hate so much when I type a really long response or discussion and my internet stalls or goes out just long enough to mess me up, then I either have to type it all again or just forget it. Sometimes I will write again, but will end up writing less. So I definitely see myself copying the text I had written once I can, as a back-up till it's submitted!

Hi greysfreak, that is the best thing I like about the copy & paste feature, to copy what you've written in the event something happens so you don't loose it. This has happened to me many times and now it is a habit already, so I copy everything I write - just in case.

Well, i would be getting my smileys soon as i am near to y 200 posts. I am looking forward to that. As for copy and paste are concerned, they are good tools to have but i dont see much of their use . of course, they will help a lot in long answers but, indeed crossing 500 is a milestone everyone is happy to cross. Good Luck

I absolutely agree! Sometimes I forget and try to edit a myLot post by highlighting and moving a sentence - and lose everything in the process. I'll be happy when I earn the paste privilege as well. In the meantime, I guess it's good training to try to write extemporaneously. Good thing it isn't speaking; I get even more tongue-tied than I do "finger-tied" and spoken words can't be backspaced and deleted!
