when cooking, does food taste good when you're in a good mood?

...this question just pop off my mind, because one time when my brother was cooking for our dinner he told us that the food doesn't taste good...then i ask him why?...i'm not in the mood...does it make sense?

I am currently pregnant. So there are times when even the smell of cooking anything makes me ill. Other times if I am cooking, it depends on how hungry I am if the food will taste good. Other times, I wait to see if my hubby will like it.

There are times that I am cooking dinner simply because my kids have to eat. If I am in a bad mood I do not want to eat anything, so no matter what it is that I am cooking it does not sound good to me at the time.

No, a good cook does not have to taste while cooking.

Sure! I believe that. Even the best food sours in the mouth when one is angry or sad. Food should be a joyous thing.

I agree with your brother too, i mean if i am not in the mood to cook i know i will not want to eat the food even if it was of michelin standard. i think your mood does affect both your appetite and enjoyment of food in general.
