First, I would answer the question can religion save people ? Definitely NO. Religion is a set of beliefs and adherence to certain dogmas or creeds. There are things that we do search for unanswered questions whereby "religion" gave the answer, specifically the spiritual things. I think it is extremely important for a person to have a personal relationship with God, I believe this is the purpose why Christ came for the human race, to trust in Him and not just on religion. Happy mylotting to you.

Thanks.. nice opinion.. I post this question because there are those who brainwash people and say that if you attend with them and follow their religion, you'll be saved.

Yes its true, there are religious organization who do that and its sad becuase they think they are the only ones who are being chosen, note again God did not choose certain or single denomination but His church and church doesnt mean a building or a specific religion.

Religion is important if it can make peace among people. It is not if it kills people for it's arrogant.People who understand this life don't need a religion, only love for each other is enough and that will fix all the problem. My religion is "love" and it is not a rocket science.love is oneness and it is god..cheers..

I think faith rather than religion is important and can save people. When we have faith in something bigger than ourselves that gives us hope for something more than what we experience here on earth.

Yes religion is important. But first we must ask these questions?"Does religion make people stronger, or does it weaken them? Does it encourage what is good or what is evil in them? Are they made better and more wise--or less--by religion?" These are the questions we need to ask all religions if we are to succeed in fully "humanizing" them. Albert Einstein stated "principles are made for men and not men for principles." Yes religion can save people when it makes peace for all humanity. Thanks, for this question.

Religion is one of the things that is more important to some people than others; it has both good sides and bad. It is important in the aspect that it helps us establish social frameworks, establish peace of mind, and releases stress. However, some people feel that they don't need religion in their life to achieve these things. On the bad side, it frequently promotes intolerance, bigotry, and can alienate segments of the population (look at the current mood in the United States towards those of Muslim faith). It is important to many people, but it is important to recognize that many others feel that they do not need it in their life. Whether religion can save people or not depends first of all on what we are saving them from. If it is the concept of saving them from sin, that doesn't make sense, because if there wasn't religion there would be no sin defined to be saving them from. It creates the danger that it supposedly saves us from. Also, there are so many religious dogmas who is to say.
