The one that looks realistic. Or maybe anyone could point me to any website or share to me the file? Or maybe any pattern of stuffed animals. But I still prefer lions. Or pigs. Thanks in advance.

You might check with the following suppliers as they have extensive pattern selections. If they don't have anything that fits your needs, I might have something in my collection (I have over 100 book and even more patterns for teddy bears, dogs, cats and other animals.). The places to check are Edinburgh Imports and Intercal Trading Group. You might also search mohair sellers. I hope this helps you some. I know how hard it is to find patterns as I have been making teddy bears and other stuffed animals for over 25 years and I finally gave up and started making my own patterns.

Yes, both are in the United States. But even better news, I was checking my pattern selection and I have a pattern for a lion that is laying down. If you email me with your address I can make a copy and mail it to you. He looks like he will be about 12-18 inches long. It's a good looking lion (I hate patterns where the animal looks tacky and amateurish!) The URL for Edinburgh imports is: www.edinburghimports.com They have a great selection of Mohair, Imported Acrylic, Alpaca and other furs for making stuffed animals. They also have patterns, sewing supplies (they have the best price on Gutterman thread anywhere and it is so strong that you can't break it with your bear hands!) and eyes and other stuff too. The URL for Intercal Trading Group is www.intercaltg.com They have much of the same supplies that Edinburgh has, but they have a wonderful section for lower priced fur pieces that will range from 4 or 5 dollars to 40 or 50 dollars. Those pieces are close out pieces with some flaw but they are still great quality. They also have patterns too. But like I say, I do have a great pattern for a lion in a book titled The A to Z of soft animals by Carolyn Hall. If you can't find it in your library email me and I will be more than happy to copy the pattern and instructions and mail them to you. It took me a while to go through the patterns as I have collected them and have made collectible animals for the past 25 years. I hope I've helped some Toni

I don't know the shops/places you recommended. Are they in the U.S.? Thanks for the response. :-)

Hi :), I know I'm a bit late to the discussion, but I have a favor to ask: my boyfriend asked me to make him a lion stuffed animal for his birthday and I've been looking for a good pattern to use, but I don't like any of the ones I've seen. 'Soft Animals A to Z' looks like an amazing book and exactly what I m looking for, but it's $36 dollars online because it's out of print and I can't find any copies at a library near me. I'm a poor college student and $40 (with s/h) is a ridiculous amount for a book I'll probably use once. Do you think you could also send me the lion pattern? I really want his present to be fantastic and special and not a just silly cartoon lion.

Hello tamarafireheart, You're even clever. I don't know how to knit. It takes a lot of experienced skills. Making stuffed toys out of fabric just requires sewing. Hehe. I still haven't have a pattern for lions though.
