Hi rebeka, I believe that nothing has changed in that way, if God spoke to someone three thousand years ago, he would still do so today, and probably does. Of course if you went about today saying that God spoke to you, they would probably lock you up, but these same people believe that God spoke to Moses or Noah or some other ancient figure. Strange isn't it? Blessings.

Yes, men do speak to God. I speak to him all of the time. I a constantly directing my conversation toward him. I try to stay in a mindset of prayer all the time. Do I hear from Him in return, I'd like to think so. I know that He speaks to me sometimes because I can see the things I thught He said come to pass in my life. Then there are other times where there is no real confirmation, but I do believe that He will speak to men that really want to listen. There is a book you should read that has more information on this subject called "Practicing the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence." In it he discusses his daily routines in prayer and conversation with God. It is a very short book maybe 1-5 days reading depending on your dedication. It is not an end all and tell all on the subject but I do hope that will help you to answer your question.

It is not very Pagan at all. However, it is written by a Catholic Monk so that might give some more info about that branch if you are interested in that branch of Paganism. I hope that doesn't offend you that I use the word pagan.
