Is Kungfu Panda suitable for kids? Would you recommend...

I have not seen this movie yet and was thinking I may go watch it with my toddler as I am not working at the weekend and we've not been to the cinema together yet. One of the parents I know had gone to see it and I wasn't quite sure if it is indeed aimed for a young audience? McDonalds have been giving away the Panda icons with the Happy Meals so we have one too and looking forward to the movie. Would you recommend it as one worth paying for and hoping we'll sit through it or not?:) I might just find a link and watch it online instead and await princesses for the cinema experience otherwise..

i haven't watch the movie yet... but i don't think that the movie is suitable for young children... there is a little bit of violence in that movie which is not suitable for young viewers... i will think that the ratings of the movie is PG (Parental Guidance required for young viewers) and not G (General audiences)... as long as you accompany your toddler to watch it and explain the movie to him/her, i think it should be right... take care and have a nice day...

Well I took my 5 and 6 year old to see that movie and I don't think they've ever laughed so hard at a movie. Sure there was some jokes in there aimed toward the older crowd but for the most part it was good clean family fun. I also took them to see Wall E which is another great kids movie that I plan on buying when it comes onto DVD. Like with any movie you just have to think what type of movies you already let your kids see and if they'll understand the humor in these movies.

Kung Fu Panda is a great kid's movie. My niece (4) and my nephew (6) enjoyed it. The kid's of my brother in law also enjoyed it as well. Since the movie came out and the toys it's catching a lot of the attention with kids here especially selling different brands and items for Kung Fu Panda. So yes your toddlers or kids will enjoy, even you.

I sat through this movie with my teenager, and found it rather cute and amusing. I don't recall anything in it that a small child wouldn't enjoy

Hello. I would have to advise against taking a toddler to see this movie. Now, I'm not entirely sure how your kid is but the character of Tai Lung is rather scary. I took my 11 year old stepson and we both enjoyed it. If your child does not frighten easily then perhaps it is OK. I wrote up a review on Helium. For a more in depth look (without a spoiler) please check it out. http://www.helium.com/items/1106981-movie-review-kung-fu-panda

oh yes yes yes it is! I loved it, and there were kids in the audience when i watched it as well. it's the best movie I've watched all year. then when i finished watching it, i got the DVD from a friend nad watched it again! when i have kids I'm definitely buying a copy for them to watch. I think the animation is great, and the humour fantastic, and the whole idea quite hilarious. I'm so glad they have wholesome movies like these on offer. everything else is too violent or advocates lax morals these days! even on TV.

I would say that it is suitable for kids, but it all depends on what type of parent you are. If you are one of those parents that deem the slightest bit of violence as too violent then it is probably not suitable as it is a kung fu movie. Maybe you could show your toddler trailers and see how she reacts?

Normally the movie itself displays the aimed age. You also should look for the internet where you can easily find the proper age for the movie. Although I haven't seen the movie yet, I think the movie should not be a problem for children to watch. So go ahead and enjoy yourself. If there's doubt, then call the people from the movie theater, they surely know what to advise. Good luck with it anyway! Greetz.

My sister took my daughter to see this movie the other weekend. My daughter is 3 yr old and my sister said she enjoyed it. She sat through it very well and was good. I think it is going to be one that we buy to keep! Hope this helps!! Most of the animated stuff is geared towards kids and they enjoy them!

I would not bring a young child to this movie. It has some physical things that I just don't consider appropriate for young ones.
