Who thinks this is a romantic gesture? I think it is in a way because you get to chill out and watch a movie together knowing that there isnt much chance of anyone disturbing you. What do you think?

I think it is okay but you are playing it safe. You picked the movie not cuz you don't want ppl to bother you but because you do not have to talk much and find out what's really on their mind. Its cute for like a high schooler when your still new at it or if you have been dating a while but not for the first couple of dates.

I don't think going to the movies is strictly romantic unless you have a movie that is your movie, like some people have a song. Just going to a general movie is an okay date, but not anything you'd want to make a big occasion out of. For example, don't ask someone to marry you in a movie theater unless as I've said you're seeing "your movie".

I've never really seen the romatic side of the movies - I love to go, but I love to go because of the movie, not for romance :) If I'm suppose to make up to a movie I prefer to do it in my living room.

Yeah I do agree it is a romantic gesture. My boyfriend is so sweet when it comes to taking me to see movies. He makes it his duty to take me to a movie that he knows I want to see for "so long" (these are usually the movies based off comic books!) and whenever he wants to see one I go with him because he does with me! He takes me to see movies once or twice a month it is always nice quality time because we just cuddle up and watch the movie and enjoy each others company. So yeah, I agree it is a very nice and loving gesture
