do you give respect out of seniority?

hi there, a lot od people would usually give respect out of seniority may it be with age, status and position. for me we should respect each individuals inspite of differences, age, status and position. Everyone deserve to be respected unless of course that person belittle himself and does not act accordingly that even he/she does not respect his/herself. Just my two cents. LOL

I definately give respect to those older than me. The times I slip up and dont say yes ma'am or yes sir, I look around to see if my dad is going to back hand me.
I agree you should definately respect everyone, if not how can you expect them to respect you?

i think everyone is due respect until they do something that makes you change your mind. i always give anyone a chance & if they blow it , don't figure i needed them in my life to start with.
