new phone on sale today at 8 a.m. in each U.S. time zone Software problem prevented the phones from being fully activated in-store
At the flagship Apple store in NYC, hundreds of buyers were in line Friday morning "It's a smoother running phone. It's driving a Beamer as opposed to a Chevy"
Is anyone planning to buy one?

Very glitzy, that iPhone. Espensive to say the least. And there was something about a special pricey data plan for them too, if I recall. I don't think I'm going to be getting on of those for a while yet.

I heard of the iPhone problems from the news. But iPhone seems to be very popular anyway although it's expensive. I am not going to buy one although it looks cool. I pay attention to the feature much more. I am using a smartphone and I can find a lot of softwares and games via the net easily. And I really like it.
I love China

I am not planning on buying one anytime soon as I still have six months on my current contract with Verizon Wireless. I would not get this IPhone til the problems are worked out first. It is a pretty neat phone with cool features but do not want to pay that cost. One of my managers at work has the original IPhone and he likes it very much. I may change my mind at some point since I have been buying more Apple products lately than PC stuff.

Hm. Interesting. I don't own an iPhone, and don't want one. I have a Samsung A707, and it's the best cell phone I've ever owned. And as for the car reference...I much prefer my Chevy to my aunt's Beemer. My Chevy rides and handles MUCH smoother and better!
