Would you guys agree that this movie had the BIGGEST negative impact on the youth? I mean teenagers see this movie and they immediately act big or hard and think that they are just like scarface. I agree it is a great movie, but it's still JUST A MOVIE. It's a shame how people get affected by wrong movies, but not by right movies. I'm not bashing scarface because it is one of my favourite movies :) but I'm just surprised by the big effect it had on people.

No, I don't think this movie or any other has a negative impact on youth. If someone takes it as an example, I'd assume that they lack involvement and influence from actual role models. That or they have some sort of greater issue that doesn't allow them to separate reality from fiction.

No, I wouldn't agree. Movies don't have an impact period ... parents who don't teach their kids to see movies, music and video games as fiction have the impact. If movies were in fact impacting people, then it would impact EVERYONE .. not just the select few. The fact is that the kids who do take these things seriously are the ones who's parents should never have become parents. They were babysitters instead, offering up the TV as a guardian instead of teaching their kids how to react in situations, letting movies do it for them. As far as Scarface, this is the very first time I've ever heard anyone suggest that it had any impact whatsoever.
