Knowing how to cook food. I am old and married and is now living far from my family. I don't know how to cook and most of the time I eat processed food, canned goods. But I believe I need to learn to cook or else I'll get tired of eating the same stuff and starve LOL. What about you, what can you say about this?Just Curious, SFC

In my household my husband does the cookig because he is good at it and I am not. I tend to eat out a lot. That's one of the reasons why I am so actie on MyLot. There is wireless internet at the coffee shop, and it's cheaper to use that than it is to hae the internet at home. The money I save ot having the internet at home, combined with the money I earn here on MyLot allows me to eat at the coffee shop when my husband is not around. If you are interested in learning to cook, I think it would be a great idea for you to do so. I neer was interested in cooking, and I like the food they serve here at the coffee shop. Where in Canada are you?

I am living in Mississauga, Ontario. I am with my uncle and his son. There are no women in the house so My uncle does the cooking. The problem is he is old and is having a hard time to go around. I am starting to learn to cook some dishes by watching my uncle prepare and cook meals. Thanks :)

Yes, I think you can live without knowing how to cook but you shouldn't. Everyone should learn how to cook, even men. It is a valuable tool and you will eat more healthy meals if you can cook them instead of buying processed food. I know that you are away from your family right now so I think that you should try to learn how to cook right now. That way you can save money and eat healthier. Once your wife and kids are back together again in Canada you can surprise her with your new found skill. You should give her the night off every once in a while and cook for her. She will love you for it. Trust me.

I feel that both partners comlete each other and without any one of them one feels incomplete. It is not just basic requirements but the fact that both need each other emotionally too. The bond of love and attachment to each other is much more than basic things. Yes one would surely miss that food which ones wife can prepare as it is preapared with love and affection.

Well am lucky. I learned to cook when I was in college as I lived all alone. Am not an expert cook but can manage if my lady folks go out of town or for any function. And it is not very difficult to learn to make food. Try it once and you will be surprised. Try making rice thatz the easiest to make.
