i have a near-sighted vision. i first used contact lenses but it was so tedious to clean. i then switched to eye glasses but it's uncomfortable if you are on a sweaty activity like playing basketball. over the years, i keep on swithcing from one to the other. which do you prefer?

Not to mention the price of contacts, I still prefer having glasses. Of course you can still play games with glasses. You can have straps on your glasses. And if you forgotten, oh I forgot the name, but there once a great NBA player who plays with his glasses. Really, I forgot his name, but there was...

I have them a year ago. The last time I went to a doctor to have my eyes checked, she said that I am not yet ready or my eyes are not yet ready for glasses. I wore glasses before, you know optical shops. Once you get there to have your eyes checked, they will not look for the problem or the cause but you will lead them directly to the fitting room. In the end, you will have glasses. But the real cause of your problem will not be solved. The last doctor who checked my eyes is a real eye doctor not just an optical shop doctor.

i don't want to go through the hassle of cleaning contact lenses so I really prefer eyeglasses. It's low maintenance and very practical.

Hey there bro. I still prefer eyeglasses though. I got really uncomfortable when I tried contacts the first time. I was always twitching. My eyes are really not used to them even after around a week or two. I still have my prescription glasses and I still wear them (one I'm wearing on my pic) but usually only when I have a hard time focusing. I have astigmatism I always try to make my eyes smaller just to focus at times. I see two of each that I see. It's like the images separate in two. It also got used to it better than the contacts.

That's quite high 325. Mine currently ok. I had 75/75 back then when my astigmatism was still at its peak. Can't read really well. It's clear but it's double. Yeah, sometimes it's really cool!

well i don't have astigmatism. but my grade is 325. one sad thing about eyeglasses is we can't wear sunglasses at the same time. argh. lol. sometimes i do wish i'm wearing contacts for the sake of wearing cool sunglasses. lol

I used to go crazy with my need for reading glasses. The eye doctor suggested trying a contact in one eye for reading and none in the other. It sounds ridiculous, but it works. Still, I hated the cleaning and in-out routine. A few years ago, she told me about monthly contacts. I can keep it in all the time, for a full month, with no difficulties. I love it! On the first of every month, I remove the contact before going to sleep, and put in a new one the next morning. Just that little bit of "Time to breathe" has worked out beautifully. I have glasses, just in case, but I hate them because I feel as if I'm in a cage. Long-wear contacts are wonderful!

but it's so painful if some foreign material like dust goes into your eye. you will need to remove it. sometimes it happens to a place where you can't actually remove it so you will need to hold the pain. ouch.

I always have a tiny bottle of cleaning solution and a storage case with me for those cases. Hoever, it's never happened. You're right; having to keep a bit of dust or something in my eye would be torture!

My prescription is so strong (minus 7) that glasses became physically uncomfortable for me, so I really prefer the contacts. But it's a matter of personal preference. Are you in the position to get the lasek surgery? If successful, you wouldn't need either.

I have eye glasses but I would like to use lenses because I think they are more comfortable than usual glasses. I have never used them but if I get a chance I will definitelly choose lenses. I also have a near-sighted vision or Myopia as doctors say but my condition isn't very bad.

you'll love lenses at first. but after having to clean it regularly you might go back to glasses. and once you felt the pain of the dust or foreign object going to your eyes with your lenses on, will definitely change your mind.

I still prefer wearing eye glasses. It's easier for me. I've tried wearing contacts but I got irritated. I am so lazy putting solutions, cleaning the lens and stuffs. So I went back to my eye glasses.

I'm short-sighted too... I was so depressed when I first heard that I was. I had to give up my ballet class just for that because I can't bear contact lenses. So I'm wearing glasses now and thinking about having a surgery or something.

you should get a laser surgery. but i believe it's so expensive and not 100% that it will work. it's worth to try i guess if you really love to do ballet.

i already have eye glasses and i think its better than lenses cuz lenses is very bad for eye and need more care of you and it will cost you a little bit but the glasses is better and safer and do not need more care and by buy very cool glasses that will make your look very cool so i prefer the eye glasses
