When i talk in landline phone or in mobile.. i have the habit of scribbling some thing in a piece of paper or on the cover of the book that is lying nearby.. There are no meanings for those scribblings, certainly. Some times i used to draw, a tree, or a flower.. a free hand sketch.. and at times i twist and turn the telephone wire.. Do you have such habit..like me?

hi saiven! whenever i'm talking on the phone, i do what i am doing before i took the call. like, if i was playing a game in the computer, i'd continue playing it while taking the call. if i was writing something, i'd continue writing while talking on the phone. but usually i won't be able to write anything if i was talking over the phone. ^__^;; in the office we are used to writing while talking on the phone. that is, taking notes and messages from the caller. ^__^;; but if the call is very important, for example if i'm talking to a friend which i haven't talked to for a while, i would stop anything that i am doing. i remember there was a time i was talking to a good friend and my closet was open. i was going over my things while talking with my friend though i was concentrating on what he was saying and i was absent-mindedly going over my stuffs.

Hi Secretbear, you seem to have a great concentration power, and you are able to perform multitasking jobs.. but for me when i concentrate on one thing.. i leave the other..

I only do it when im having a pen in my hand most of the time i will be very much concentrated on the call .Sometimes if there is any paper i just tear it off but i dont draw any tree or something instead i just write my name and i make different designs and i just do something very creative.

My friend have a habit of calling me while I am doing my cooking. Especially cooking dinning. So while I am listening to the phone and chit chatting with them, I will at the same time, be cutting the vegetables or cooking on the stove. But if they call when I am not doing anything, I have a habit of drawing circles with a pen while chit chatting with them.

It depends on. Sometimes I will use a pencil to write something on the paper. Or I will still keep on using my computer when I am talking in the phone. I love China

i usually browse the internet or watching TV while i am on the phone... i just can't stand being bored doing nothing while talking... i also get used to multi-task... so i really have to do something to keep me occupied... i also sometimes scribble something on the paper like you if i get bored with the person talking with me on the phone... take care and have a nice day...

It depends on who I'm talking to on the phone. If it's a call that I need to write something down for, I end up doodling also. Other times I'll watch TV, cook, clean, be on the computer, all sorts of things while I'm on the phone.

Hi saivenkaat, your discussion makes me think of all those meaningless actions when talking on phone . There is a yellow page phone book beside my landline phone. When chatting with someone on the phone my left hand usually resting on the right bottom corner of the phone book, and my index finger and thumb would hold the right sharp corner edge of the book up and then to let the pages falling down page by page. I would keep on doing this until finishing our chatting. While talking on cellphone I usually comb my long hair near my right ear with my left hand to fit it at the back of my right ear. I then would stroke slightly the end of the hair on my right chest on and on. posting and enjoy your day.

I hate talking on the phone. There is so many other things I can be doing other than sitting on a telephone. I have dialup also and it keeps me from signing onto my computer. I work on my computer from home and I hate when I am not able to use it. I also scribble on paper and sit fidgiting from being nervous trying to get off of the phone and do something constructive.

Hi Sai, I hardly use the phone, except when I get work-related calls, and they are so short that they is no time to doodle. I don't make any calls myself. Cheers and happy mylotting

Hi saivenkaat802003! I do scribble sometimes when I do talk over the phone. Most of the times, I do other things like for example surfing in the net, cooking, or just any other things that I can do while talking with someone on the phone. I just get restless doing nothing else when I am on the phone. haha.. Take care and God Bless!

Me too!!! I write out words and trace them so many time they look artistically nice after the conversation on the phone. I rarely draw people, but I can scribble easy to draw objects such as the sun, moon, and flowers. I wonder why we do this? When there's no paper and pen nearby I sometimes find myself doing some leg stretching.

no im not like that..but before when we have still the land line(now no more since i guess its useless since we do all have mobile phones and more cheaper i guess..i mean the monthly bills)i have the mannerism to hold the phone whilst my little finger(from my left hand) was touching the tip of my nose..im not aware of it at first but my attention was caught when my daughter ask me about it and she was wondering most of the time..

If I am on the phone I do sometimes doodle, I try to go on the computer while I am talking but I can only concentrate on one thing or the other and I end up not hearing what is being said to me on the phone!

yes! i'm like this too but not necessarily scribbling stuff...i just do some other things while on the phone. i just can't sit still and just chat on the phone. i have to be doing something like for example, surf the net, channel surfing, writing sometimes, or just some other random things :D

If I'm at home, I tend to pace around in circles regardless of whether I'm on the cell phone or landline. It helps me think, and gives me something to do. If I'm not really interested in what the other person is saying but hanging up would be too rude, then I'd pull up a mindless game like Solitaire or something on my computer and play that.

If its the landline telephone, mine is in the hallway.. And i hate when anyone phones it lol being stuck in the hallway for god knows how long. dragging me away from what i am doing here or maybe msn haha.. so, either i am also scribbling on what ever paper is near phone, maybe squiggles, house, stars etc, kiddy drawings haha.. or i am flicking the pen, and flipping it about.. (hmm maybe i should get some little toys to keep near the phone to amuse me).. Or i busy trying to untangle the cord to stretch it into the lounge to get closer to here, especially if my mum is on the phone because she can go on and on.. I am really, not one for talking on the phone for long.. I think keep it short and sweet:D b\ut if my mobile phone for some reason i have a habit of walking. i have to be walking.. i don't know why lool even just pacing up and down the room, i cant keep still..
