When its time to eat pancakes what syrup do you grab? I grew up on Mrs. Buttersworth and it was my favorite for most of my life. I had always liked it better than Aunt Jemima. A few years ago I tried real canadian syrup and I didn't like it very much my first time. I didn't want to waste so I kept using the Canadian syrup. After a few times it really started to grow on me and today it's my favorite kind. The good thing is it's gotta be a whole lot better for you than the artificial ones with high frutose corn syrup in them.

Yes Canadian Maple syrup is great, the bulk of which comes from Quebec. It's really expensive and prices are kept artificially high by overstock being stored in warehouses instead of selling it for less.A lot more people would buy it if the price were less. It's gotten to the point that in recent years the stuff stored in these warehouses is so old the barrels are rusting out and beginning to leak .What a waste. The government should step in and prevent this kind of thing from happening.Anyway medium and light are my favorite maple syrup and I used to buy Aunt Jemima for Eggos and using the maple for pancakes and crepes .Now i like Old Tyme brand better than A.Jemima A really good recipe for crepes can be found in a cook book called "waste not want not"they're great! If i find the recipe I'll post it. take care princessdian!

I grew up on Log Cabin syrup. The past few years though I have been eating Mrs. Buttersworth. I like it better. It is nice and thick and rich.
