money vs socialising

Come on now, be honest, do we just maintain the facade of socialising when we are all actually here just for the money? Do you take pride in your posts and enjoy it on here, or do you write short messages and just check your earnings every day?

Well, as you will soon find out as you are New to this site, most people that come here only for the money, are those that do not last. Many of us have long ago learned, that this site is way more than the money.. myLot is about the many wonderful friends you will meet, the wonderful discussions to respond back too, and learning about things as a whole you might have otherwise known nothing else about before. Myself, I love this site, and cannot think of a better place to be. Yea, the extra money is nice, but it would be hard to live off of it.

I really enjoy the time I spent in Mylot interacting with people by writing something. Also I like to write and share with people my views and information I get. The good thing about it is that I get paid for enjoying my time in here.

I started on myLot with the intention of making money. Then I started getting into the discussions, and before i knew it I had hit my first payout. I do enjoy seeing my earnings everyday and it makes me feel good knowing that I am at least earning a little bit. But I am here now more for the people and discussions than anything else. I learned that her ethe more I actually enjoy myself on myLot talking to friends and making new ones, I earn more money anyway. So I would have to say at this point I am here more for the friends and discussions than the money, but sitting here looking at almost 19 for next months payout is nice too lol.

Well, I would never deny that I came here for the earning potential, that is a great part about it, and I check my earnings daily. But I do enjoy being here and reading disoussions as well as responding. I rarely write short responses, because once I start writing about something it all kinda flows out until I'm done or I see that I have written too much, then I either submit or edit out stuff that I read over and decide I don't want to include. So it's both for me. But the money is a motivation, definitely. But the thing is, a person who really doesn't like the conversation and stuff isn't going to last long, because if someone responnds with 2 or 3 sentences at most every time, well, they aren't going to make that much. So you really do have to enjoy what you are doing and write at a minimum 5-10 lines in order to see good earnings. And obviously it has to be quality, and on topic, it can't be like "oh how neat" the end. LOL So, if I didn't like it here I don't think the tiny few cents a day I'd be making from short posts wouldn't be worth it to me. Luckily, I do like the social part, therefore, I have done pretty good!

Surely you've noticed it's very little money! I originally joined because I was looking for ways to make extra money. To make anything worth discussing would take years! I love myLot because I've met wonderful people from all over the world, and the discussions are great. Sure, there are some jerks. Most of the people I've encountered are a joy. And many of the discussions are really fun. It doesn't take long to see that someone isn't going to be your type, and stay away. Others are people I might actually like to meet at some point. I don't find barriers here; neither age nor income nor hometown -- nothing is a real barrier. Try getting into it. You'll probably really like it, too. Even my extreme shyness doesn't get in the way! Open up and join the fun.

While I freely admit that my joining this website was based on the earnings you get, I am beginning to enjoy socializing with other people here as well. I am a social creature on forums, and while my replies may be slow, I often check through my email to make sure that if someone replies to me, that I give them a response (if the situation calls for it, I mean). I try to make sure that my posts are worth reading, as well. I don't like it when people just post one-liners and never return, but that's just me.
