Do you enjoy answering questions or not?

Is your coffee maker black or white? Is your dog big or little? Does your cat ever go outside? Is it better to quit a bad relationship or try to make it work? Do you feel happy most of the time or sad? Do you have a lot of things on your desk or is it neat? Are your eyes the same color as the other members of your family or are they different? Is your hair straight or is it wavy or curly? Do you like ice cream or pie better? Do you eat meals in your kitchen or at your computer? Do you prefer tea or coffee? Do you get up early or do you sleep late? Do you spend a lot of time on the computer or just a few minutes at a time? What color is your computer? Did your keyboard and mouse come with your computer or did you buy new ones? What kind of speakers do you use with your computer? Do you have more than one computer in your house? Do you own more than two cars?    DO NOT ANSWER ANY OF THESE QUESTIONS! I put this in here simply to show that it is tiring to read through endless meaningless nonsensical questions which I do not want to know the answers to anyway. Unlike most of the posts which do this sort of thing in order to solicit a response to the questions, I have put this here to attempt to show that it is tiring, boring, and a major waste of time. Let's all try to keep myLot on a more dignified scale than MySpace, Yahoo Groups or some other Social Network. Let's try to be informative and interesting. Ask questions you NEED answers to, but please refrain from asking if I like "this or that" better. If I receive no replies to this I'll be delighted. If this causes others to stop with all the silly questions just to get responses, I've accomplished my goal. Have fun, I'm off to find something interesting to reply to....

yeah, i know what you mean. some days i come here and don't find anything interesting. i think the people that post those types of questions are going for quantity not quality, thinking it will make them more money. but myself along with a vast majority of MyLot users are here to meet new people, learn a little something and maybe teach a little something........the money is just an added bonus. so sometimes i go through dozens of discussions before i find one to respond to........like yours. by the way.......my coffee maker is black.

My coffee maker is white. I'm glad you stopped by and found this worthwhile or amusing. :) (My OLD coffee maker was black) ;)

LOL THANK YOU! I haven't been on mylot for very long, but it was this type of questions that nearly turned me off to mylot altogether. Then I found some interesting people with interesting things to say, and I'm here for the long haul! Hope you found something interesting today. If not try back tomorrow. There ARE interesting discussions going on.

I'm hanging in and finding a few things to reply to. At least I'm one of the few and proud who aren't in this for the money, it's a bonus for making friends and helping people.

Hi there!I enjoy answering questions especially if its in my field of interest or at least I had a relative experience about the event in the past. I am an inquisitive person so I really love being asked questions because it shows a fertile mind on the go. Of course, these questions must be sensible and true questions not just mere rambles or mumbles of words just for the sake of it.

Uh, I have a black coffee maker and a white one? Do I get an oreo cookie for that? just kidding! After reading through your post I am in agreement with you. There does seem to be some, "off the wall" discussions here that I see no reason for a response to. Could it be that it's summer vacation and kids have too much time on their hands? Or is it that none of us want to talk about the things that others do? Puzzle on that one and we may figure out a way to have better discussions! Good post, Poet

If not children, at least childish. In my opinion anyway. I know I'm new here, but I do believe many of them are against the Terms and Guidelines of myLot. I know I saw a post earlier asking for first name, occupation, etc. - those are mentioned as DO NOT DO's in the Message Guidelines.... Ah well, some people never read....

I see what you are saying. I didn't understand why I couldn't copy paste until I read and re-read the guidelines.

I do agree that there are a lot of questions posted like the ones you are saying. I don't mind at all really. I answer a lot of different questions from many different groups of people. Sometimes the my lotters might seem to find it to be fun to ask certain questions out of curiosity. I like to post questions that need a more thorough answer.

I just find quality to be much more enjoyable than quantity. I've noticed that many of the ones who post the silly questions are the ones doing it ALL THE TIME... sheeesh!
