ever get a text message from someone you don't know?

i don't text hardly ever...and i have gotten a few text messages from people that i don't know and they don't know me...and i have gotten them before and i am not the only one that has gotten random text messages and i don't know how i am getting them because the messages don't make any sense to me at all...and no one else has given out my number to anyone else and i have sent a text back before saying that they had the wrong person but i still got text messages from this person...does this ever happen to you and if it does does it annoy you...if you haven't do you think that it would annoy you if this happened to you? thanks for reading my discussion!

This just happened today the guy thought I was his girl and was lying cause I was mad at him. He finally called and realized my voice did not match up lol. And never did he say sorry either.

well i've gotten text messages from quite a few people unknown to me. i'll text back to say that they've got the wrong person. usually they'll either remain silent or text back to apologise. but there was this person that really takes the cake. i am thinking that it's a guy really.
i got a message from this number asking to go out for a meal or something. i texted back and said 'sorry you've got the wrong person'. next thing i know, i received a message saying that 'oh yes i got the wrong number. but anyway shall we be friends still?'. i don't know whether to be upset or laugh. i didn't reply to that and i guess he/she gave up. ;p

I've gotten a text message from someone I don't know when I got this phone number for the first time... I never used to believe in porting the number over so when I got a new phone through nextel, I got a new phone number... For about a week after that, I've been getting a text message from someone I didn't know... I guess that was for the person who had my phone number previously... That was few years ago... Now that I have t-mobile, I've kept the same phone number & ported over... This is one of the reason for keeping the same number, not to mention it's easier for me & the people I know... I don't have to keep going around to people giving them my new phone number...
