Yesterday, I found out my boyfriend mumbled when he was sleeping. He was mumbling about his work's stuffs. I could feel he must be stressed up in his work until he mumbled when sleeping. I felt so sorry for him. He has been working hard all the days. He never complains in front of me,he just keeps all his stress in his heart. I am feeling bad about this. It seems like I am not a good girlfriend that can share with him. This was a bad experience for me as I knew the secret of my boyfriend. How about you? Did you encounter this before? Please feel free to comment, thanks.

lol i make all sorts of noise when i sleep. when i'm really tired i'll start to snore. when i'm totally stressed out i'll talk in my sleep. when i'm super excited i'll start to hum or sing in my sleep. on normal days i'll just grind my teeth. maybe you want to consider doing something for your boyfriend. cook a meal for him or help him with something you'd normally not. hope he'll be fine soon. cheers ;p

Grinding teeth? Sends shivers down my spine AND I do it myself. I thought it was when I was over tired or stressed but it is happening most nights. Some days my teeth are aching from grinding them so much and biting down hard in my sleep. As for snoring, yes when I am really tired I do. I grunt myself awake sometimes so I know I am doing it. No wonder I am single.. Lol ;)

Dear friend, I had seen one of cousin used to sleep walk and one of my used to talk in sleep and sleep mumbling also can be seen. May all these can be just make better by a good psychologist. Moreover if a good sleep is got I hope it would give one much refreshed day and more relaxed body.

I've been told that I mumble when I'm sleeping... Not all the time, but I do... I noticed my daughter doing the same... One night, while sleeping, she kept saying, "don't push! Don't push!" Turn out, she was dreaming about swiming pool... My girl friend tells me she can't hardly understand what I mumble about... I haven't noticed my girl friend mumble yet...

That's true, when you are stressed about something, it usually comes out in your sub-conscious state, most of the time while sleeping. My husband is like that. When you ask him deep personal questions while he is half-asleep, he'll give you all the answers and forget he ever said anything. It's actually a running joke now for us. I, on the other hand, mumbles very rarely and I always wake up after saying something.LOL!

I do! My parents, friends and siblings can attest that. Sometimes I am alarmed because I might spill out secrets or what. And it is embarrassing too. Hahaha. My father told me that i used to talk about my school work or some memorized speech for a contest or activity. LOL. And I have a loud voice, that made them wake up in the middle of the night. LOL.

Hello yenwie84, Don't worry too much about your boyfriend mumbleing in his sleep, sometimes they dreaming and talking to the people they work with, you cannot understand what they are saying so don't worry but try talking with if he has any problems. My husband mumbles all the time when he is asleep. Tamarafireheart

I dont think that I mumble in my sleep but I have been told that I make sounds or moan somewhat. Its kind of weird but I guess it is better than snoring lol. Oh well.

Hi yenwie, Don't feel bad and blame yourself. I can only tell you what I experience with my bf. He likes to keep things to himself on purpose. I try to talk to him but he is the private one. I let everything out, he prefers to keep secrets which drives me crazy. I don't know your situation, but I do know that there are some men that are proud and this is how they deal with things. You are not a bad girlfriend and I'm sure your bf doesn't think you are either. When he's ready he will tell you if he wants to. Just keep doing what you'r doing and be there for him.

hi yenwie, how are you? girl you don't have to feel bad about your boyfriend's situation. It actually happens especially if we are feel stress and tired in work.I used to do that when I was work in call center. I have experienced before after m y night shift, when I got home I'm just slept in bed suddenly phone rang out. My mother was beside of me and she was shocked that I'm mumbled word," good evening, how may I help you?" ha ha ha even in my bed I take calls.this very funny, isn't it? well the best advice I would give to you and your bf, try talk to him in a quite, warm place, give some hug to relax him for a while and then say to him some idea on how to let out the stress. hope this would help you

I don't think I mumble but then I sleep alone so have no-one to tell me. No-one has ever commented on it in the past though. My son on the other hand has great cpnversations with himself throughout the night, and each time I fall for it and think he is talking to me. He sleeps in the room next door and the wall are quite thin so I can hear him. He is a teenager and we often settle for sleep around the same time as each other. I just settle then he will start, and I call out to him only to realise he is soundo and I am again wide awake. You would think I would learn but alas no. The one time I did try ignoring him I suddenly got shouted at for not listening! :) I don't know why he does it, and he says he doesn't realise. I can never catch what he is saying and have given up trying, but I bet it has something to do with xbox, girls or cars ;)

Hi There Even though I sleep alone I know that I mumble and sometimes talk during my sleep because I wake myself up and on occassions I am still talking as I wake! It usually happens when I am really tired and I have a lot on my mind that I have to do. One of my sons woke in the night telling me in his sleep that his brother had broken his stick. Oh if that was all there was to worry about in life. It does sound like your boyfriend is stressed though I think there is very little you can do for him apart from be there for him which would appear that you are. All the best.

Hi! i talk in my sleep all the times, sometimes it is nonsense and other times it makes sense! it is not always because i am stressed though, sometimes it is just what i have been thinking about before i go to bed or what i am dreaming about. don't feel as though you are a bad girlfriend, men tend not to talk about their problems and discuss them like women do, let him know you're there if he wants to talk but don't be surprised if he doesn't want to discuss his work if it is bothering him! I say funny things in my sleep, the other week a starting asking someone if they had a hamster and when they said no i told them they should get one! very strange, i never remember it in the morning but if ever i sleep in the same room as someone else they always tell me i've been talking!
