Why are children being left as orphans even until today. Why has there been no improvement in this area? Don't you think it is the parents responsibility of taking care of the child?

Maybe because some parents just can't take care of their kids. And there are not enough adoptive parents who are qualified to take them in. Sometimes when you look at a child wandering in the streets dirty, unkempt, skinny and hungry-looking, you wish that there was a way to prevent some people from having children when they are unable to take care of their children.

Yes. My concern is why do they go for having a child when they actually know they could not take care of them.

Sadly there will always be orphans and with the best will in the world sometimes parents cant always "be there" for their children sometimes through their own choice and sometimes because they arent alive anymore.

I think that some parents are really too irresponsible to just leave their child to become a orphan because if they really does not want the child, then they should not let it come to this world and suffer... I think those parents should really think before they act because those children will not only suffer now, they will also suffer in the future if they falls into the wrong hands...

Oh yes i believe that it is the parent's responsibility to take care of their children. But there are irresponsible parents that just left their kids anywhere. They have their reasons.Either its good or bad but leaving their child to an orphanage is avoiding their responsibility as a parent.

Children are being left as orphans because they are too many irresponsible parents who accidently get pregnant and don't want them. Or the parents die and they get placed in homes. What I don't understand is that they are so many children that need homes but adoption agencys want you to be rich to care for one or give lots of money to care for one. There is a great need for loving parents but a lot of parents who don't have the thousands of dollars they want for them. I would adopt a child in a heart beat but I do not have the money to give the agency.

there will always be orphans. some parents simply cant take care of their kids. and some kids simply cant get adopted. they aren't the "desirable" age.
