What media player do you use and why?

I personally have 2 at the moment, windows media and real player, but I mainly use Real player.
It is easy to use, and a great library, and the playlists stay put. I find sometimes on Windows Media, my playlists will disappear randomly.
It also has some good graphics to watch if wanted, and can be used to play content off of BBC iPlayer, so I can use it to watch programes I have downloaded. Best of all it was free to download. I have now used it for years, and I am happy with it.
So what does everyone else use and what are your reasons?

VLC media player all the way. I started using it about two years ago because I needed a video player to play certain types of files. And as it turns out it is a nice little audio player too. I've never really used Real Player so I'm not sure what the features are. I only use Windows Media if I want to view the color schemes and such.

I use Windows Media Player cause whan I buy Pc was In! :D So I use also Real Player cause Windows Media Player doesn't play .rm

Well I haven't use the real player so I don't know which is better I usually use window media player or winamp but most of the time the former. i don't know I just get use to medial player but since you sounded like you really are satisfied witht the real player I think I might try it one of this days.

i personally use media player and VLC plyer.
media player becuase it is available by default in windows os.
and VLC because it is very light weight and very efficient for many purpose like .
online songs play, cd play, dvd play etc. it supports most of the file format so i like VLC.

I used to use media player mostly but now i use itunes because i have an ipod so i had to use itunes to add tunes, movies and so on to it and it also updates my ipod with any changes i make to song lists in itunes..
since i got used to itunes i really do prefer it to media player.. so now, even if i didn't have the ipod i would still carry on using itunes

thanks for best response and due to that, i just see this comment from you anyway, try itunes, maybe you will like.. i told a friend about it and since, always use itunes now instead of media player. At first times little time to get used to, but give it time i think you would prefer it take care

Currently, i use the latest version of Realplayer. It has a very good user interface and stability.
The next best thing is the good old Winamp

I use Winamp for playing songs(audio) and VideoLAN Client(VLC) player for playing videos or movies....
Winamp makes it easy for me to search and manage my songs....
VLC plays all types of video files for me... and it has nice sound compared to other video players...
Except these players, i use Media player classic with K-lite codec pack... for playing videos... it allows to adjust screen size...

I am using two media players in my computer. I have Windows media player and my current favorite, GOM player. I love both of them because I can't see any problem with those players while I am watching videos and listening to anything. They both soothe my preferences these days.

I also use windows media player and real player, but I mainly use windows media palyer, because it starts up faster.

I have Windows Media Player, Real Player, Rythun, Quick Time Player, iTunes. :)
I use everyone depending on what I am opening.
wmv files and other windows media files I open in WMP.
real audio files will be opened in in RP.
Rythun for online music.
Quick Time for videos of my office presentations.
iTunes for listening to songs in my local hard disk. :)
Long list though. but I use them all and I love to use different players for different reasons.. :)

i always use windows media player...because it has good graphics,good sound effect...and the best easy to use media player ever...now i currently use WMP 11..its the best among all media player...secondly i prefer GOM player...the second best in the field...its my personal opinion only...if its not so,PLEASE DO COMMENT ME...I LIKE CHANGE....
