I don't even know what they're like. *sniff* Sounds fun, someone please describe one. It would help me with the short stories I write for kids. Thanks.

The first and last time I went to a carnival was when I was about 3 or 4 years old. For a kid that young, the shows proved to be very magical, fantastic, amazing, unbelievable and my eyes wouldn't blink. I saw a boy with no legs dancing on a big ball. I saw a juggler juggling fire. There were magics performed. Flying trapeze, it was such an unforgetabble night that until now about 30 years later I could still vividly recall what I saw.

Carnivals really are extremely interesting. They're loud, smelly, crowded, dirty, and very loud. Usually, there's an overwhelming smell of grease and meat in the air. There are people in lines, waiting for rides that are usually run by fringe members of society -- those who spend their off hours getting arrested at dive bars for causing hate and discontent. Even with the hoard of people trying to clean up, there are always piles of litter behind buildings, stands, etc. People are crammed under the canopies of game stands holding grungy balls; crammed in lines waiting to get on the dirty rides; and waiting in long, hot lines to get a grilled corn-on-the-cob or smoked turkey leg. There are people from all walks of life, there, making it a fascinating place to 'people watch'. It's quite an experience.

The fair is in town this week so their is a carnival here we took the kids they loved it. You get to ride alot of fun rides and then you get to pig out on cotton candy, funnel cakes, and sno cones. Just don't eat before you ride though as you will get sick. They can be alot of fun.

A carnival is a fun place to go, a smaller version of an amusement park. There are rides for children and adults, games to play, where if you win you get a prize. Some carnivals have small animals like a petting zoo. You can buy cotton candy, which is sugar spun until it looks like cotton, there are a variety of colors , pink, green etc. You can buy popcorn, hotdogs, pizza all of the fun foods. There is probably much more, can't think right now. Some countries have what they call carnival. They dress up in their native attire, and have parades, and all of the above is included as well. Ethnic foods are sold.
