Whenever I use the toaster oven, regular toaster, blender, most kitchen appliances I unplug them after I'm done using them to avoid an accidental fire. Most of my family just leaves it plugged in after they are done using it. Do you think about unplugging things after your done using them to avoid electric fires?

I don't, but I probably should. The only ones I unplug when I am done with them are the ones that do not stay out on the counter like the crock pot and the blender.

In our house we always unplugged all appliances that are not in use, except the refregerator. It's a precautionary measure to avoid fire or accident.

It is a very good idea to unplug most things when they're not being used, if possible. To avoid fires, yes, but even more directly effective, to save money! Things like microwaves, cable boxes, and other things that remain lit (even those little red "off" indicator lights on TVs) drain watts from the electricity.
