Why WOW will be a hit if a WOW blockbuster is made!

I've been an avid fan of the Warcraft series for years. I was in the Aman'Thul server with a level 70 Lock! It's an awesome game, addictive and fun, with an amazing storyline.
Remember the impact LOTR made when it was first released?
Bring in the top guns like New Line Cinema etc, with a Billion dollar budget, the story of Prince Athras will grace the screens around the Globe.
Since many MMORPGs are coming up, competition will be stiff. Blizzard will have to come up with something which could generate the craze once again like how everyone came to know about Lord of the Rings.
Besides LOTR, I don't see any fantasy based movie so far enthralling the audiences with such amazing storyline and CGI. Narnia wasn't even an inch close to it.
Go Blizzard!, a movie after the Wrath of the Lich King expansion would be an excellent idea!

Its a bummer they wont have the horde point of view in it. I would prefer if they periodically switched between the two factions.

I totally love the idea of a World of Warcraft movie. I've been saying that for some time...had no idea they were going to come out with one. Making one from the human side would be much easier in the long run with graphics and all, but being a Horde myself, I feel a little left out.

I definitely have high expectations on the upcoming World of Warcraft movie. I also hope that it somehow revolves around Arthas' transformation.. from a noble and sturdy paladin to the cold-hearted king of the undead. World of Warcraft has a very rich storyline. Try to check the story's timeline in www.worldofwarcraft.com and in wikipedia. You'll find out that the Warcraft lore is more interesting than ever.

During Blizzcon 2007, they announced more information on the movie they are releasing in the future. They are working with either the director or production company that made 300 so it should be an awesome movie. They stated that the movie will be more on the human side instead of a heavy horde influence.
I agree though, a movie based on the Arthas storyline would be amazing. That has to be the most interesting story they've come up with.
