Sometimes I wonder if I slept through the election. I don't recall any presidential candidate getting so much airtime as Obama has been getting. Anyone else notice this?

yes, alot of people have noticed that. it's like they've been saying the press loves him. jay leno made a joke about how there wasn't any press to cover mccain because they were all covering obama.

Reminds me of when Clinton ran. The media was in love with him too. I'm just grateful for talk radio, where my thoughts and feelings are better represented.

Yes, I have noticed it too. I can't help but wonder if it persuades voters at all. I have personally never seen as much media attention to a presidental candidate before.

It does persuade those voters who don't do their own research or who don't tend to think for themselves. Those who let the evening news or cable news channels spoonfeed them, are likely to be greatly influenced by the media.

Yes, he's been getting a lot more airtime than John McCain but, hopefully, the media will get over their crush on him soon and get back to what passes for the business of reporting the news. Obama is something new and fresh on the campaign trail so it's not unusual for him to get a lot of attention. I just hope people listen to what both candidates have to say before making their decision on election day.

I agree. Hope people will think for themselves and really ask themselves what is important to them. These two candidates are really nothing alike at all. So it should not even be a question of charisma, race, or age, but should be about whether you want someone who's very liberal, or more of a moderate (slightly conservative) type.
