I used to be more of a deist, ie: I believed in the possibility of a God, mainly as an explanation for everything to exist, although I didn't believe that this God participated in the interference of our everyday lives. As I've grown older, become more critical and more rational in my way of thinking I now consider myself fully an atheist. Of course it is possible a God may exist, as it is impossible to disprove (just as it is impossible to prove), however I think God is highly improbable.

Hi boxieblue, I am not and have never been an atheist, but I have no problem with those who are, everyone is entitled to their opinion. I am not one to try to convert others but simply believe that there has to be something more than this life. If you are an Atheist today, were you always of that opinion or did someone or something change your mind? Interesting topic. Blessings.

Well actually we are all born atheists I could say. Nature doesn't go by the laws of a deity and Nature brings us to life so we are all atheists from the first seconds of life. After that, if you have the "luck" of getting some religious parents then you get converted to some religion. So I was an atheist, then I got converted to catholicism, then a few years ago I realized I was supposed to be an atheist. So here I am :D
