Do you watch Ice Road Truckers?

I was wondering if anyone out there enjoys watching Ice Road Truckers as much as I do. I have been watching since the first season, and have become pretty attatched to Hugh and Alex. I feel like I know them, I know that sounds kinda funny. Now Alex has a blood clot in his lung and I saw the preview of tonight's new episode and they show a priest there in the hospital with him. I am so afraid that he's there for Alex's last rites. I am so hoping I am wrong and that he will be ok. He has a very large family ( 11 children and 7 grandchildren ) I would hate to see anything bad happen to him. Even though his life is in danger, he keeps his sense of humor and called his wife and asked her if she had a 'short list' going of new prospective husbands, should he not make it through this. I am worried, and hope that tonight's episode shows that Alex at least has a chance to survive this. Also, when this season started, one of his young daughters told her mom that she thought her Daddy was gonna die out there this year. I surely hope this was only a fear and not a premonition.

My son got me to watching this show. I have enjoyed it and also find myself looking forward to what will be happening. I too am fearful for Alex. He seems to be such a jolly fellow. I would hate to see anything happen to him. He has such a large family and I'm sure he does this type of trucking to help put food on the table. Not many truckers are brave enough to even try it. I need to cut this short becasue the show is actually coming on right now. Best wishes!

Thank for responding. I just got finished watching and feel a little better about Alex's condition. I am glad they are keeping him in the hospital until he is safe to leave. I'm sorry to see his season end early but he did get alot of loads in before he got sick. What do you think about that Rick? lol I thought it was funny when he was saying that he wasn't a 'flunky', the way he acts and whines so much is sort of sending him into that category, not to mention being too hard on the trucks. I don't think they gave him the trash job to demean him, it was just a job that needed to be done. He takes things way to personally, and should try to learn how not to get his feelings hurt so easily. I could go on and on lol. Glad you got to watch tonight, have a great night.
