Do You wish that you were not a stay at home mom??

i'm actuall thankful i get to be a tsay at home mom i mean i get to see my kids grow up and do or experience everything for the first time.there are times i wish i could work but they leave real quick when i get to thinkin about my kids and the freedom i am lucky to have

The only problem that I have with staying at home is the loneliness. The disconnection with other adults. All my friends work and my husband has a rough schedule that it's hard to socialize. He works weekends. Washing the same clothes and the same dishes and the same everything can get very tiring. But I do love the fact that I can say that my kids were never in daycare. That I enjoyed watching their first everythings. Their first walk, first words, ect. Overall I wouldn't change my decision to stay home

I am thankful that I have been given the chance to stay home over the past two years. When my son was born 6 years ago I was allowed to take him to work with me for the first 5-6 months, thereafter family took care of him while I continued to work full time. Since moving to the US, we had no family support and couldn't afford to put our son in daycare so we made the decision for me to stay home, and I'm thankful that I was able to. Now that he is in 1st grade, my husband wants me to go back to work full-time (I am working part time on call during the holidays for extra $$) because it doesn't seem to be enough at the moment. I am hesitant because I am not sure if the skills and experience I had prior to moving to the US is good enough for me to get a good enough paid job. I'm a little scared to take that step, scared that it will take me away from my son in terms of the time that I am currently spending with him when I am home after school. I know I need to and it would help, but just taking the first step is scary BUT I'm working on it. I've made the effort of updating my CV and have completed it. At least that's a start LOL

Staying at home is my long time dream. I used to work in an office for 15 years and had quit just one and a half years ago. I'd like to be in charge of raising my kids and do the stuff for them. Nothing in this earth can give us happiness than making our home a happy one. Glad i made the right decision.

I love being home, but the times i wish i wasnt, is when hubby gets laid off work (his work isnt always yr round.) and money gets tight, but other than that i love being home. My son goes full day school next yr for kindergarten and i want to still be able to take him and pick him up from school, and be home should they call home cuz hes sick or something but i do wnat to be out and try to get some extra income so i will work part time somehwere with a really flexible schedule if possible. My fave part about being an at home mom though, is that i never had to miss things at my sons preschool, or any of his firsts..cuz i was there from the start. I wish all moms had the opportunity to do the same, but i know its not always possible.

There have been times that I wish I could work outside of the house. I am happy being at home with my son for now while he is young. He should be going to school next year when he is old enough. I might work outside the house at some point in my life but this is what I need to do for now. I usually keep pretty busy by cleaning and surfing on the internet. It can be enjoyable to me and I like to log on here to myLot just to have fun and correspond with others. Being a stay at home mother has its ups and downs but I am content with the way things are.
