Most teens can't wait to look older, they follow the fashion, hair and makeup trends of older teens and women in their twenties, and even take on the speech, habits and inrerests of women a little older than they are. What do you think? trying out adulthood is a normal part of growing up?...

It's normal, but I wish they would insist on enjoying being young. I was in college at 15...the worst thing that ever happened to me. I thought it was neat at the time, but I shortly learned otherwise.

Hi roshand8, I believe that all girls go through that. You have you're young teen on magazines, TV, models, so they pick up on how to dress, wear their makeup from them. It all start when they are about 4 or 5, they start playing dress up, wearing mom's clothes, shoes, etc. As you said they see girls dressed, and they will notice that they are staring at them. You'll hear a comment on, I wish I was 21, this way I can go out, wear makeup, drive and mom can't tell what to do. I beleive it's normal for girls to acts this way.

I think it is normal, but they are still teens so it is our job to make sure they are protected, even if they do pretend they are grown.

Yes that's part of a growing up. Youngsters tend to idolize the adults and so they mimic everything about them. They could not wait till they reach the ripe age because they could see the power and the beauty of adulthood.
