What do you think is the most fun way to get referrals?

There are many ways to get referrals, but they aren't all equally enjoyable. Personally, buying ads has been the most fun way I've found to get referrals so far. It's just so easy -- make a purchase, put your ads up, watch your referrals stream in. Don't get me wrong here...I've been more SUCCESSFUL at getting referrals through other methods because I'm not rich enough to buy lots of advertising. In terms of fun, though, buying ads is my favorite. Using GetRef (my #1 method for getting referrals), blogging, and forum posting feel more like work to me, and the results are also a lot slower. Is advertising your favorite method also or do you have another favorite method for getting referrals?
