Last weekend at my neices birthday party at midnight they all put on their swimming suits and went into her pool for a moon lit dip....I didn't though! It was tooooo cold! Most of them were younger with the exception of my sister who is two years older then me! They seemed to have a lovely time but for me I didn't want to freeze! Have you ever been on a moon lit dip in a pool or lake? Would you if you had the opportunity?

Years ago before my wife and I had kids and back when the Hotels in Downtown Minneapolis had outdoor pools we would sneak into these pools late at night/early morning for a dip. I loved it. I'd do it again as well. Now I may do this on the way to get the wife tonight at 9. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Not sneaking into the Hotels. Just their pools. My brother and I once skinny dipped in the old Mariotte pool decades ago. Hahaha! HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I personally love swimming at night. It's quiet, no one can see every little move you make and it's just all around more peaceful. Yeah, It's alittle cold at first but after the first few minutes you get used to it. Me and my husband try to go for midnight swims at least once a week. I'd rather be able to look up into the sky while floating on my back than have to cover my face because of the sun's rays beaming down so harshly.

I agree, the beach is beautiful at night. Love to hear the ocean waves and the quietness and the moon light is so pretty.

If I had access to a pool at midnight I would. Our complex closes the pool at 9pm. I do have my own hottub though and often use it late at night. Oh, and I leave the suit inside. LOL A swimsuit in a hottub just isn't the thing to do in my opinion.

i used to spend a couple of months a year in malta in a house with a pool and when me and my friends got home from a night clubbing we'd always jump into the pool for a quick dip before going to bed! Most of the time we changed into our swimming costumes buit sometimes we'd just jump in in our clothes! it was always good fun and pretty refreshing after being in sweaty nightclubs all night!

I love swimming at night when I get the chance. Its not usually any colder than it would be in the daytime I find, and its so lovely lying in the water looking up at the stars.

Hi there. I love that phrase, "moonlit dip." Anyhoo, it is fun to jump into a pool after dark. Of course, I have done this as we have a pool at our home. It is pretty cool at night. But, that makes the water very refreshing. And I would love to take a moonlit dip again very, very soon! Try it, you'll love it.

I like swimming at night. It is never too cold to go in at night where I live, well hardly ever. I think that is really neat that they went in to swim for her party. I never would go for a moon lit dip in a lake though - I don't want something grabbing me. As I said, I would definitely go in the swimming pool at night though! Have a great day and happy myLotting!

Yes...I think a lake is too big and doesn't have boundries....if it hadn't been so chilly I might have thought about it!

I have been on the beach at night but didn't get in the water we took jackets to put on as it gets cold oin the evenings. I have been camping and been by the lake at night to but we did not go for a moonlight dip though. Maybe if I was younger I would have done it but not now when I get cold I can't warm back up again.

I remember being a little girl and going to my aunts house and my cousins and I would go into the pool late at night. It was a special thing we got to do when I stayed over. I don't mind going into a pool at night because I know nothing else is in their, but a lake. I did that one too when I was young. But I would never do that now. I have a fish aphobia. I would probably die if a fish rubbed up against my leg at night if I was in the water.

Hi Jill, Before having my son I used to go down to the beach at full moon and walk along the waters edge paddling but I have never swam. If it was a pool and sober yes I would have a swim but not in the sea at night no. Ellie :D

Actually i have done this. Me, my best friend and a guy she was dating, went to see the play of Wizard of Oz. I honestly dont remember how this happened, but the 3 of us ended up at a cousin of mine, house, and before i knew it we were in her pool, it was about 1 a.m and i do remember it was quite cold...but it was fun.
