Do you think one day will we be able to go back in time? Is there a time machine? Do you think there is even a time to go back too? Is there as past that we can go into and see our self's younger? Is there a younger me in another world or something doing everything i've already done? or however that would work... or what? I was just about to go to bed but now my mind is thinking about this.. it just randomly popped int my head lol so i had to come here and ask before i went to bed. So what do you think?

This is an amazing question that i don't think any1 can answer. i believe there is more than 1 you but they might be a completely different person or they might be exactly the same. i do believe in separate dimensions and to travel to those might be possible. but to the past i don't believe this will ever happen because even if some1 created this technology i think the government would keep it under high alert. If some1 acquired this technology they could mess up the entire world by changing history everything would change. this is a hard topic to discuss because of the secretiveness that would a cure around the subject if it were ever to happen. imagine the possibilities though! I'd go see a babe ruthe game =P

nope i dont its possible or will ever be. time is a man made thing to keep tack of things. if u take away time how would u know when anything happens. the universe is not bound by time and isnt govearned by it. the only time travel we can do is into the future and its one way, but its not in the way most people would thing its done. if u were to place a person in suspended animation where their body function at a slow rate then normal the u could go the future but u wouldnt be able to go back. even if u could travel through time and change things in ur past do u really thing tht would be a smart thing to so. its like tht movie butterfly effect. if u change one thing in the past u change ur whole future like dominos all lined up. there are things tht every one would change but think about where u could be if u change tht one thing, it could have a bigger effect on ur life then u would think. for me i wish i could change things but i wouldnt want to unless it wouldnt change my future. all i can do is take those mistakes and learn form them, so i'm not repeating my past.

Yes, I think it will happen someday. Kind of crappy and not able to go forward or back very far at first then getting better as time goes by. There are so many things to take into consideration when time traveling though people would have to be very careful. The whole paradox stuf and all, or maybe none of that really matters and things just work themselves out and it doesn't really matter.

I think it is possible to go to the past but not be able to change it. For one you can never be able to meet your younger self. Two you can't change the past nor can you influence someone native to the past to change the past. You can't something using future knowledge to have that item created for you to use in the future. In other words predestined paradox can not happen.

I think that it is very impossible to be able to go back in time since time is something that is not tangible and uncontrollable and it seems to simply pass away without us really knowing about it. However, there's always a way we can see, hear and relive the past again with the use of our technology right now. Recording or taking pictures of every event would surely capture that specific moment and make us remember the past. But I'm not so sure about having another you in another world. Maybe that's possible. I can't really say. Since we are still confused on how the solar system works, so there's no definite proof that there's another world aside from ours. But that might be possible, it's just too early to say so.

my all time favorite movie is the Back to the Future trilogy. i would like to go back vin time just to know what life they have back there. but i wont alter anything because changing the past means changing the future. i love my life now. the lessons of the past makes me more appreciate the present and looking forward to the future.

Maybe my Best Response will help. http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1055682.aspx As I said before, and as i'm saying again: time-travel's like a double-edged sword: it can be for you, and it can be against you. Read my post to find out more.

well, we are on the same road. lols. I am from South India, and here we have loads of such movies, made on the concept of time machine. And, I vaguely remember Albert Einstein commenting on LOVE and LIFE, where he compares the experiences similar to that of time travel. Ask my opinion, I am currently very busy working out my future, and I would not be comfortable if you want me to time travel backwards. Lols. Goodluck

I don't know if there is really a time machine. But i saw it a lot of times on movies. If we can go back in time, I would like to. I want to experience how life is during those times. Especially during the time when Jesus is still on earth.

I'm not sure. On one hand, I think the past is gone and yesterday no longer exists. But what of all the energy we expended, isn't that still there? I doubt there will ever be a time machine but it would be interesting. I tend to think there are different dimensions, the same as this world with the same people but they make different decisions and have different results. In another dimension, you didn't ask this question but instead went for a walk and were hit by a car then met the love of your life in the hospital.

Well as neuronic said it isn't possible to travel through time. There's no logical scientific explanation on how matter can travel through time. And also if you want to go to the past it's for correcting mistakes and doing what you wanted to do in the past but you couldn't do right? Well that's going to alter future in a way or another and maybe make it far worse than you would expect.... Well I officially have a headache now lol

its a very interesting concept indeed.but i think it is not possible.our past has faded away from today or reality.you can definitely learn some things from the concept but i don't think the whole idea is possible no matter how much we advance in science.

I think time is only a man made thing to depict passage of an event and thus a bit impossible to actually go back to (though it would be nice if we can). WE can somewhat time travel though and its called reminiscing. Perhaps the idea of having an alternate dimension is more probable than time travel. But for me one thing is for sure, I wouldn't want to go back in the past to change things because I am a firm believer of how things went were they way they were suppose to go. Imagine if you could correct all the mistakes you have done in your life, you then will also lose all the lessons that you have learned form that mistake. Its like being happy with out knowing what sadness is, it impossible because if you have nothing to compare your present situation with.
