How much would you charge?

Ok, here is the scoop. I started watching a 4 and 5 year old boy from my daughters preschool about 5 weeks ago because their mom had to go back to work to afford a new car payment and rent. Their mom never wanted to talk to me about payment. When she did start paying, she was giving me $20 for 4 days a week for anywhere from 2-4.5 hours a day. Her sons both shove and push my 18 month old son daily, the 4 year old actually urinated on my daughters leg outside, and the longer they are here the more comfortable they got so they quit listening to me when I told them to do something. I added up the hours I have worked because I do keep track of them and did the math to see what she was paying me and it was averaging out to be a whopping $.76 an hour per child! That doesn't even cover lunch and snacks! Tonight I told her I was done and told her why and she got mad saying I was trying to get rich off of her!!!!! I know I'm not crazy, NOBODY wants to actually pay to babysit do they? What would be the minimum hourly wage you would be acceptable if you were doing someone a favor like this.

I 'd probably charge a flat rate of $45 if it was for the week.
IF not for the week at least $5 an hour.
Babysitting is high nowadays. I mostly stay home and keep my kids if not my dad keeps them if he can't do it then i pay my aunt. I wanted to get away so bad one time i gave her 60 for a whole day.

I've paid my little brother $50 for about 4 hours once...and that was back when I only had one! Like I was telling my husband about the situation I was in, I wasn't trying to make a lot of money off her, I wanted to help, but even when I was a teen I would charge my family $1.00/hr per kid since it was at their house and I didn't buy food for them and everyone else paid at least $2.00 per kid. I just don't think its right to not even pay enough to cover the cost of feeding your kids.

Yeah i can feel where you are coming from. I used to keep 4 kids but they were all my cousins their mom was on this program that sent me about 600 dollars for it. That was when I was younger though. I'd rather do it that way than getting money upfront because it pays for even though it was monthly. Also in the contract it stated that i was not responsible for providing the food she had to bring the food with them every morning so that made it alot easier on me. Of course they still ate some of my food too but it just made things alot easier

yes,you get about 10 yuan per hour .i think it is not too much.because you are not in china.and you don't work for all day.if you can work whole day ,then i can say that it will not less again.if you only just work for 4 hour i advise you do another job that can worked more than 8 hours that you can earn more money.so do me as i said .god bless you.
