little_momma started a new discussion called worse than a deadbeat dad in life.
Here's the bare bones of the situation: My 4 year old daughter's biological dad has basically been no part of her life. A few months after she was born he took off (not that he was around much anyway) and would only come around once every year of so. When my daughter was about 16 months old I met my now husband. He is the only daddy she knows. Her biological has seen her twice briefly in the p...

I have always wanted to help kids who are in need of stability in their life and love and I'm just about at a point where I think I could handle it. I know that you have to pass a background check and all that kind of thing which will not be a problem for me. Is there anything else that will have to be done? Child proofing the house or anything? I know also, it will depend on the state I live i...

little_momma started a new discussion called going back to work.
I have been a hard worker since I was 19 years old. I have been a single mom of two working full time and college full time and I've been a mother of three working part time. March of 2007 I decided to stay at home with my son who was born in Jan. of 2007. Recently I have decided to go back to work. Full or part time. I have a steady work history and I'm educated, still, it feels like I'm never...

Life in general costs more with more kids but in the US we aren't taxed on our kids. In America, if you have children you claim them on your income tax return and the government actually gives a bit back to your family if you qualify for it. Its the governments way of trying to help us ensure that our kids are taken care of....Although some people abuse this help. I grew up with my little broth...

My aunt went through the same thing. She had hers done in the early evening and they shipped her home bright and early the next morning with a fever. Her insurance refused to pay an extra half a day or day for her to be there if she wasn't dying from complications. Its a sad fact of life and even sadder is that none of us working class can afford just to pay for an extra day out of pocket just ...

I believe there is good in everyone although with some people it is extremely hard to find it. I believe we are all born good and the bad is a learned trait or defense from our surroundings.

I've wanted to but no. I normally tell my daughters to check themselves if they get roudy or quiet down or inside voice please.

My child has never been told to call my husband daddy or dad. She started calling him daddy the day we got married...literally. We walked in to our apartment from eloping and she looked at him and yelled daddy! He was caught off gaurd by it but I told him flat out that if thats what she wants to call him it is fine. Blood or not, he loves her and supports her a zillion times more than the biolo...

Thanks, I don't think my daughter feels any disappointment yet...I just keep telling her that she can't meet her brother until his daddy calls but i'm not sure how much longer she is going to be patient. I don't even know how long Ryan will have her brother for the simple fact he has been a father for 12 years but has never raised a kid. He has left all his kids before they are a year old...the...

In my experience it is expected that the guests bring gifts to engagment parties. It's just a pain. I don't mind it if the couple litteraly has nothing and needs all the extra things to get their future started but I have a couple of friends who just liked to get free things when they could. This is why when I got married I eloped:D Anyone who wanted to help after they found out we got married...

This one is for the moms with sons

I was babysitting a 4 year old boy who would always grab himself but his mom didn't tell me about this habit. The first time I seen him do it I asked him if he had to pee and told him if not then...

zotspot - get paid to search

On Zot spot you can earn by logging in and makeing searches. It is much easier to get there search bar on your browser. it will take a few months for your earnings to show up in your account. when it does show up remember that there is a month being processed, so there is always 1 more month than is shown. there is 3 refferal levels so there is plenty of room to grow but you can earn by your self. I think this is a great site. I use it to jump back and forth from site to site so I really make no extra effort to earn. I still have my google bar on my browser to but I Use it only if I can't find it with zotspot first.

NO MINIMUM PAYOUT!!!!!
Happy earnings
