was shocked by her reaction. "What a waste of time" She spends hours on the internet on a gaming site. She relaxes while playing yes. But that is it. No friends made,(I asked) no information learned.. and no earning. Nothing else, so why? Why the negativity? Have you ever gotten a totally negative reaction when talking about mylot?

I would be a bit shocked too! I don't think it's a waste of time, sure you don't earn that much money but i don't think people come on here just to earn money they come to chat about things they are interested in and the money is just a bonus. Oh well, i guess it's her loss.

Hrm, I've tried to tell a few people about Mylot, but it is hard to make real money real quick. Still, the few pennies (to me) are still a nice little encouragement. And, if you have a friend who needs a little money from time to time, typing as a referral on MyLot lets them get a little bit of money without feeling like they are mooching off someone. Seems like a fine idea to me.

I myself have wondered why people who spend all their online time on sites such as MySpace and Facebook never really seem to get into sites such as MyLot that actually pay you for participation, especially since these people always seem to be of the younger generation who are always complaining about how they don't have enough money. It seems in a way that a site that pays them for things that already practically do all day would be just the thing. However, I guess the little differences can be deceiving at times, such as the fact that maybe their friends don't congregate here like they do on other social networks. I don't know why that would be an issue for your friend though if she hasn't made any friends doing what she's doing now. Of course, MyLot is a lot different than gaming. That might be part of her gripe with it... it's hard to say.

I told FRIENDS about mylot and they told me I'm crazy. They are just more interested in doing online games. What a waste!

Have you ever read some of the stuff written about this site on the Net? There is some really nasty stuff out there. It takes all kinds to make up this world. nd they really like to voice their opinion! I was at someone elses home one day and decided to log on to the Lot from their computer. I had to og course go through the Net to get there instead of the easy way on my own computer. Well I got an eyeful theat day! Shalom~Adoniah

Yes it is true. There is a lot of negative about MYLOT. I was on another site and person was bashing MYLOT and I have to put some positiveness in the discussion. I think it is persons who want to do his/her own thing and because they did not get their way he/she is behaving as a spoil child.

No one I talk to about myLot ever shows the slightest bit of interest! I have tried to tell people about it many a time but they all say that it sounds boring to them and they could not spend that much time on it. I guess they need to try it before making that judgement as I never thought I would spend as much time as I do on here.

some people are just not interested with mylot... i had tried to tell my friends about mylot as well in the past and they simply just not interested... there is nothing i can do about that... it is simply their choice... we can only tell them about the fun we have here and the earning... the rest is entirely up to individual... take care and have a nice day...

I had one negative response but I really don't care, if I wasn't here I would still be online somewhere else and not having as much fun as I do here. Yes we do get rewarded for our time, it might not be a lot but it is an incentive, I also have met many wonderful people here and developed some nice friendships and I am always learning something new every day. There is always someone who can contribute some information that I did not know. I really love this place.

I've gotten it a couple of times from my mom. She only looks at the money aspect of this site. She always says "all that typing you're doing, for pennies." I try to explain to her that I am not here for the money; I have fun here, and the money is an added bonus. But she doesn't understand and thinks its a waste of time. Oh well, when she gets her internet back on I won't invite her.

She probably said that because to someone who hasn't tried it, it just seems as if we spend lots of time on here and don't get paid very much for doing it. I think that's why the few people I've talked to about it are also not interested, and why I don't talk to many people about it! If she were to do it herself she'd realise it's not about the money, it's being able to talk to thousands of people from all over the world about any subject under the sun! I think it's difficult imagining what it's like unless you've been here yourself, and it's actually hard to describe to people as there's not really much to compare it to. She's obviously more after the money if she's on a gaming site (or just enjoys gambling), but you're right, she doesn't get any interaction, which I think is so important.

Yeah alot of my friends think this to and say "you do what? for how many hours? and all you get is that? what a waste of time" I simply tell them they hey it's something I like to do and for mylot to pay us is a bonus factor. It all adds up eventually in the end. I will always come here to mylot to do what I like to do anyways in the first place regardless of what any one says. You won't find to many sites that go and does what mylot does.

Good day... all the time, they consider earning cents per post a waste of time and I don;t know why. I have a mediocre job and I'd rather spend my extra hours here in mylot than go on window shopping, or drinking in a bar or playing pools which is quite expensive. I'd rather read opinions and post discussion and earn a little by doing it than spending money on senseless recreation but that's just me.

we can't really blame them with their reactions.as the old saying goes,we can't please everybody.and that leave us to respect them coz everyone are entitled of their own opinion.i am just new here but i am enjoying it..i love the how the people here express their opinions,i like sharing thoughts and everything thats on my mind with nice and sensible person..and that's how i see mylot residents.we don't really need to be that persistent to convince our friends to join mylot if they don't really want to..but we could always continue asking or telling other people about it..even if they are not our friends.let's just enjoy being here..coz it's really nice to be with nice people..in mylot, its like a big family.Godbless to everyone.

i have not told so much about mylot to many friend. its due to the fact taht many have told me its just waste of time. may be they do not understand how much knowledge etc we can gather. the earning may be less, but what we earn her in terms of friendship, knowledge etc are much more.

Has your friend even tried mylot? Maybe she just needs to give it a chance. But then again, maybe since she is so into her gaming site she sees no need for mylot. Or maybe discussing things just isn't her kind of thing. Oh well, all I can say is that it is her loss! She is missing out on a great place!

I told a few friends about mylot (those who still have no job, stays at home and stays online all day), the only reactions I got were: "How does that thing work?" "How do you earn?" "How do you get the money?" "Pennies ONLY?" and "I'll see.". Their reactions are more of questions and when I answer those questions, I hear nothing back. So, I guess that's just it for them. No negative reactions so far. One friend of mine signed up here thinking that it's like Friendster and he can earn a large amount in a matter of days. He didn't sign up under me though, he signed up under his brother who also though that myLot is so easy. Actually, it is easy IF you enjoy discussions and posting responses. He doesn't. So now I don't think he's active. He didn't even reached 10 posts.

Hello dear ermommy. I am also shocked by this answer of your friend's. I don't think that it is a waste of time. Instead I think that it is quite worth our time and energy to mylot as you have mentioned here that we make friends, make some earnings and get to know lots of information around the world in different fields. I have to say that Mylot is my favorite site when I surf online. Happy mylotting, dear ersmommy.

People like to spend their time in different ways and MyLot will not appeal to everyone. Someone who does not enjoy taking part in discussions will not like myLot. Anyone not interested in making new friends and learning about people's lives will not want to join myLot. Time spent at myLot can never be a waste of time for me because I always benefit from what I discover and learn here, and I like being paid every month for doing something I enjoy. I can understand why some people have negative feelings about myLot but I would hate to waste my time at some of the sites which other people enjoy.

Some of my friends, at first, told me it's a waste of time or it's tiring to think what to say. well it depends if you like the way mylot works and i definitely like how it works. i like giving out random opinions and at the same time i'm earning that keeps me coming back here though sometimes i'm busy -- i always miss my time before being here all day. anyway, just don't force them to like it, just give them the benefits and it's up to them to take a look at it. probably eventually they'll like it.
