Spam!

Is it me, or has the amount of spam around recently increased substantially? I normally receive a lot of spam every day, but it seems that I'm receiving even at the moment. And my spam filter doesn't seem to be as effective.

i used ot have a yahoo account before which used ot be flooded with spams... so i completely stopped using it and created a new email in gmail...now that my email ID is rather new...i am yet to receive any spams..

I own a number of domains, and, as soon as that domain is found, you'll get emails to it. webmaster@ is a pretty easy email address to guess, but, even if you don't have any email addresses set up, you can still get email. Most domains typically have a default account, and incorrectly addressed emails to accounts that don't exist wind up there.

I dont even use my spam filter, I just mark the email as Junk and let it goto the junk mail folder. after a week or so I just mark all as read and then delete the junk email

I'm having to manually mark a lot of emails as spam at the moment. Quite a few claiming to be CNN.com Daily Top 10.
