My story goes like this... I've planned for a long holiday early of the year, my long holiday will start last week still today. I wasn't know that I'll involve in one project which happen to have to due on the same day when i finish my holiday. So, I went for holiday without completing my project. Will I got fired in this case?

That's a difficult one to judge. When the project was handed to you, did you make any mention of the fact that you would go on vacation? Did you point out that the due date is on the last day of your vacation? Did you see to it that somebody else will finish the work for you, when you realized, you won't be able to finish it before the start of your vacation? Is this a non-vital project? If no to all of the above, I would fire you. My expectation is that I be informed that the due date is within a vacation time frame and the project most likely will not be finished. Even if I approved your vacation time, I require you to speak up and refresh my memory about your plans so I can make alternate arrangements. If you thought you could finish it in time but realized along the way it couldn't be done, I require you to speak up. If this is a vital project, I need it done. If you can't do it, don't care to tell/remind me of vacation plans, and just disappear without finishing it, well then you shouldn't be surprised, if I can't use such an unreliable employee. I'm always ready to work something out with you, see, if deadlines can be extended, somebody else can finish the job. But if I'm not informed in a timely manner, I get angry. Now, if this is a non-vital project, something unimportant, then I may let it slide but not without making it clear to you that if it happens again you are gone. I would also make a note of this in your file. I require employees to speak up and let me know about issues/delays and not just go about their own stuff and when it comes down to it, put pleasure over business. Alternative arrangements are almost always possible. Good luck!

Well, your employer should have known when you were going on vacation, and could have asked you what the status on the project was before you left. I was on a job once, where my boss told me I could not take my vacation until my project was over. It was unfair of him, since I had planned it earlier. I think that if the vacation was planned and your boss did not say you could not go until the project was done, you should be okay. You did not abandon your job, you had an approved holiday. I hope everything works out for you. Good luck

It depends how reasonable your employer is and whether the project is important or not. Without more details I cannot possible guess as to whether you will be fired or not. If you see your employer and explain the situation, that your holiday was already booked previously then hopefully he will be understanding about your situation and you'll be fine! Good luck! :)
