Comte de Saint Germain

After reading about Count Saint Germain, I am completely intrigued by the entire mystery. Basically, no one knows who he really is/was nor when he was born. There is a record of his death but then future records of him. Legend has it that he may have discovered to secret elixir for eternal life. He was thought to have been seen last in the 1970s after being thought to have been born in the late 17th century.
Anyway, I wonder if anyone knows any good sources of information about him.
Also, what do you think of this mystery? Could Count Saint Germain have discovered the "elixir of life"?, was he a time traveller from the future? Is it "Chinese Whispers" about a fascinating man or is it all completely made up?

Thank you. I already put the paranormal link. Yes, he was a real person but I just wonder whether "he" has been more than one person with, perhaps, a photographic memory and very learned on so many subjects or whether he really did discover the secret to eternal life and other magnificent claims. He is an enigmatic character and every time I find something more about him, I am even more intrigued because it brings up more questions and more mystery.

These sites have some info about him. I read all the first one but not the second. I think it's got more or less the same info. There are lots of other sites with varied information on them.
