Would you like to go to South Africa?

I would love to go to South Africa. Most of all I am keen to beautiful Cape Town. I would like to see Table Mountain and spot wildlife like penguins on the beaches.
Where would you like to go in South Africa? Why?

i am a local here in sa, and you have to visit before the cape gets infected with lawlessness. i love the western cape. cape town is nice, but take the scenic route to the garden rout. mossel bay, george, herolds bay, wilderness and then through the forests to natures valley. sometime during the year, the whales come and have their babies there. you can see them from almost anywhere you stand. let me know if you want to go. i can give you some pointers. and the cheapest high quality places.

It is excellent to hear from a local person. Thanks Zorrogirl. You make Cape Town and the Garden Route sound really picturesque. It must be special to see the whales and i the past I have not had an easy time seeing them. It is great that you could offer me some suggestions of places to stay. I would fly to Cape Town and then catch a bus along the Garden Route.

Would love to . Unfortunately, South Africa has been off limits financially whenever I've gone on vacation in the past, and I think that situation will continue into the future, Visited Morocco in the sixties, but would love to see more.

I actually have a couple of friends that live in South Africa and they have talked my mom into letting us visit them in the end of May. I'm really excited about it and I want to see all the things you mentioned. I also was looking at possibly going to see Victoria Falls since it's so close. I don't know if that would be possible to do, however.
