Had A Day Without Electricity

I live in Palm Springs, CA. A place where at this time temperatures are over 100 degrees. The power went out here and was just brought back to power with cool air conditioning just an hour agao. After such an ordeal I realize how spoiled I have become with the use of electricity. What happened to make the power outage that was about 10 streets long was an exploded cable underground. Crew were here since four in the afternoon yesterday to fix the problem and God bless these hard-wporking men they did it. It's expeiences like these where living in the desert it might be wise to invest in some solar panels.

We lost power for a couple of days a few years back after Hurricane Wilma came through our area of Florida and fortunately it was October but it still got fairly hot during the day. I remember thinking the same thing about how spoiled we have become with not only air conditioning but also television and internet access.

Sorry for you Spalla. Glad that your safe. I could never imagine being hit by a hurricane. The worst to think about here is The Big Earthquake and luckily that has yet to hit.

Oh yeah. Humidity. The feeling of walking in molasses. Not the best feeling in the world.
